Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don't you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19 WEB.A wealthy friend of mine once picked up his daughter's car to take it in for an oil change while she was at work. After He stayed gone for a really long time, she became anxious and worried about them both. Her dad returned later that afternoon driving a new Mercedes he had bought her. Her new car was much better than her old one, and her anxiety during the interim was all for nothing. While she was busy worrying, her dad had been busy upgrading her car.
Change is something that makes us uncomfortable, and we often resist it. But, for the new to come to pass, the old has to go away. If you want a better car or a better job, the old one usually has to go first. We like to know what is going on and for the swap to happen all at once. We prefer to trade our car in for another one on the same day and not give up the old one then wait. We like to plan our next job before we leave the last one. Yet, God often brings change differently.
In my experience, God will clear out the old first, then bring in the new afterward. This can be scary for us because there is a gap of uncertainty. It will test your trust and character while you live through it, but once it is done, it will all make sense. Later, you will see that it could not have been planned any better when you are looking back on it.
Many times I have wondered, "Well, what am I going to do now?" But He always managed to take care of me, and eventually, the next door would open up. What you have lost is not gone. Think of it as being upgraded by your Father. Be thankful He is taking care of it for you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You so much for remembering me today. I need You more than ever. Please straighten out my thinking, speak to me and through me, and put me where I need to be. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!Note: For those participating in the Creation Photography weekly themes, here is this week's challenge from group leader, Dianna Wyles: 1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." ~ Our next fun theme will be 'Faith, Hope, Love' and, as always, is wide open for some creative interpretation Our themes are always open for interpretation and we encourage you to post anything else that inspires you as well. My photos this week reflect some of the many ways I keep my Faith, hope, and Love alive and thriving. Mostly through my connection with nature, through seeing those heart blessings everywhere I go, through prayer/ meditation, and the love of family and friends of course Have a fantastic week y'all!! Praying you all have a blessed day and week filled with Faith, Hope, and Love God bless! Here is the link:
