Make an ark of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ark, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch. This is how you shall make it. The length of the ark will be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. Genesis 6:14 WEB
He had a driving passion that no one else understood. To those walking by, he must have appeared crazy. It had never rained before on the earth for a mist came up from the ground and watered the plants (Gen 2:6). Yet here was a man building a huge ark. He was different from everyone else. He had a calling on his life. God had told him to build an ark and he was going to do it, though in the natural it made no sense at all.
Day after day Noah worked on this ark and years went by with nothing to mention but sore muscles and splinters. But then the final day arrived and the first rain drop fell. That is when everything changed and they no longer thought that Noah was crazy. What God had promised was not forgotten, or wrong, or mistaken, but patiently waiting for the proper time to arrive.
In Noahs life, everyone else turned out to be wrong and what Noah believed, turned out to be right. In the end, only eight souls were saved. Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives. Noah did his part, the part that God had told him to do. God took care of the rest. It took hard work and patience to see it through.
When you dont fit in and they dont understand you, know that you are not the first. Sometimes what the Lord calls you to do will appear crazy to those around you and they will not understand it. They did not help Noah with his project. Do not let this stop you from doing what God has called you to do. Do your part each day and let God take care of the rest. Stay the course.
Prayer: Lord please guide me into all that You have for me. Reveal the gifts that You have placed in my life and teach me to use them better. Adjust my focus and straighten my walk, in the name of Jesus.
