Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you. Luke 6:38 WEB.A very anointed preacher from out of state once spoke at our church. It was a divine appointment. He had been scheduled to speak at another church, but they had canceled on him at the last minute. Now he was stranded in South Carolina, needed somewhere to stay, and a bus ticket home. He called our church, and our Pastor let him speak, then we took up an offering for him. I went up and gave my last $40 in the offering basket.
A few weeks later, someone who was just an acquaintance gave me $4,000. It was precisely a one-hundred fold return of what I had given in that offering. I was working on their house when they came up and said, "I feel like I should help you buy another car." In all honesty, it looked like I needed one. The car I was driving had been pieced together with parts from about ten other cars. I was lucky to get to work at all. Yet, when I gave, God changed my circumstances.
One Christmas, we built three computers from spare parts we had lying around. Then gave them to three widows who did not yet have one. It wasn't much, but it was the best we could do at the time, because we had a lot of leftover computer parts, but no money. A few months later, a business owner that I knew closed his business and gave us over $10,000 worth of new computers, servers, and equipment. It included things that I could only dream of buying. The ministry is still using some of that equipment now.
I gave money and received it back multiplied. I gave computers and received more of them, newer, and better. Of course, God can bless You in any way He chooses, but in my case, He gave me back exactly what I had given away, but multiplied.
The kingdom of God operates on the principle of "Sowing and Reaping." I grew up on a farm in the country. Any farmer can tell you that there is no harvest coming unless you first plant the seed. There is a planting season, then later comes a harvest. If you don't plant seeds, the only thing growing will be weeds.
Never underestimate the power of giving. Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you." First, you give with a cheerful attitude. Then He multiplies it and gives it back to you. Give a gift you would like to receive yourself. In time, a better one will find its way to you. I received back just what I gave away, but better, and multiplied. 'Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart' (Psalm 37:4).

Thank you for todays message. I know this to be true as well. I have been tithing 10% of my income for about 4o years now and God has always provided for me. He has taken such great care of me that sometimes its hard to believe that it is real but it is. I prayed for a new husband after my ex husband of 22 years of marriage walked out on me, he sent this man to my house which at the time I didnt know I would eventually marry him but he allowed me to meet him and start a friendship and about 15 years later we got married. He also sent a girl to me that I had just met to tell me about a job, I interviewed and got the job, I was there for 13 years until the company got bought out by another company and they let all of the management employees go. He also send a girl to me that I barely knew to tell me about a house when we had been trying to buy a house but we kept getting out bit by people that were paying with cash or were coming in with 50% down ,this house was not even on the market and I was able to set the price of the house because I was only able to pay so much per month for the mortgage. I have been so incredibly blessed and I thank God every day. I learned to put God first in my life and praise Him daily for who He is, do daily devotions and quiet time every day with God. It has made such a tremendous difference in my life, He blesses me so much. God Is so good, loving, kind and He is always ready to forgive us and welcome us back when we come running to him like the Prodigal son. Sorry this is so long but I just felt led to share this with you all. God bless everyone at Refreshing Hope Ministries and everyone who is reading this!!
Thank You LORD Amen.
