For it is precept on precept, precept on precept; line on line, line on line; here a little, there a little. Isaiah 28:10 WEB.We had scattered pieces all over the table while we worked on assembling a jigsaw puzzle. It was a total mess. This one was mysteriously difficult, for someone had mistakenly...

In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are ...

All or Nothing

  • For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises up again; But the wicked are overthrown by calamity. Proverbs 24:16 WEB

I felt disgusted with myself because I had tried so hard, but failed again in a moment of weakness. Now I felt like an injured animal and just wanted to be alone. I could never live this holy life of being a Christian, at least at the standard my mind had created. I was in 100%, or out 100%. It was all or nothing. Once the enemy had me separated, I was an easy target and soon was saddled up with the baggage of guilt and shame, and began to avoid my Christian friends. I felt that I had let God down, He had forgotten me, and I was hopeless.

When we stumble, the enemy will swoop in to take advantage of it. Peter said that the devil walks around like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour (1Pet 5:). Lions pick off the weak and stragglers. At the time you stumble, thoughts are going to start coming like this: You cant do this. It is not worth it. God is mad at you because you have let Him down. Why bother? They dont care about you. If you listen to this garbage, you will fall into a dark spiral and your relationship with God will begin to recede, not because of Him, but entirely because of you.

God never forgets you and His plans for you still stand. His gifts and calling are irrevocable (Rom. 11:29). Everyone stumbles, especially at the start. Get. Back. Up. The Bible is very clear on this. No matter what happens, get back up. There is a spiritual war going on around us and it is natural for some to be knocked down, but if you want to make it then are going to have to claw your way through. Walk, crawl, drag yourself forward, and never let your circumstances fool you into thinking that God has forgotten you.

Jonah fell, but he repented and continued on. David fell, but he repented and continued on. Peter fell, but he repented and continued on. We all do. What I have found to help me when I stumble is to repent immediately. This step takes away the enemy's ammunition that he was going to use against you. When you repent and put it under the blood of Jesus, there is nothing to accuse you about. When you are not up, you should be getting up.

Prayer: Father take my hand and pull me to my feet. I give You permission to work in my life. If You will show me what to do, I will do it. Forgive me of the things that I have done wrong, correct my course and fulfill Your will in my life in the name of Jesus.

David and Dianna Wyles
David and Dianna Wyles Thank you, a nice reminder to always stand up again. Thank you for the prayer... some times in my weak and lost moments, prayers elude me... it's hard to find the words that my heart feels and all I can do is pray for God to hear my heart and understand my needs. Thankfully, he does just that ;)  Many blessings to you and yours.

Donna Smith
Donna Smith Amen!  Satan is standing ready to attack.  He wants us to believe that God is far from us if we fall.  However, the opposite is true. God is right with us waiting for us to turn back to him and be fully forgiven.  I thank Him for His amazing love and absolute total forgiveness.

Anthony Kulbicki
Anthony Kulbicki I am reminded as i think on this about Jesus telling Peter in Matthew 18:22 to forgive 70 x 7. Which just clicked in my head again how forgiving our FATHER truly is. Not that we use the excuse that HE forgives and we're covered by the Blood to continue sinning, but that once again we have woke up today and can say Thank you Father. Your mercy and grace is new every day! As long as we don't give up, as long as we don't quit, we win! Thanks for the Word Pastors.

Lorna Smetak
Lorna Smetak Sometimes we get so far down that we don't realize that Satan is sitting on top of our shoulders (at times he weighs a ton) waiting for our down moments. Once I realize that he is there weighing heavy on me, I tell him to leave (very sternly), that u are not going to pull me away so get away. Generally I feel better and he leaves, not very happy. Like I said thou, biggest thing is to recognize that it is him.

Debbie Thompson Very, very powerful Pastor Todd. Full of passion! I can picture you behind the pulpit pounding down your fist three times, GET. BACK. UP. Now this is how a general leads his troops. Very inspirational and encouraging. "Take that Satan!!" The Holy Spirit is all over this message!! Thank you. Even if we reach the Kingdom crawling with a few arrow wounds, at least we'll reach it!! Amen and again I say AMEN.

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield And look at Paul--he persecuted Christians before that walk to Damascus! Satan is the father of all lies--there is no truth in him at all. I have to remember this whenever that sneaky (but STUPID) demon whispers in my ear that I'm stupid, fat,  and ugly!

Karen Pasquinelli
Karen Pasquinelli Sometimes I feel like I am always brushing myself off.  When I watch the news  I get so angry at some of the things I see or hear, then I have to ask God to forgive me for getting so angry (maybe I should quit listening to or watch the news)....lol.  Here in Las Vegas, lately it has been about someone molesting children and it makes me so angry, so very angry.

Kay Rushin
Kay Rushin  Constantly a spritual battle is going on for our soul. It"s Satan's job to knock us off our game. Even though we belong to God, he doesn't care about knocking us down...... Our job is to not let him. Satan is a little confused about who is in charge. I feel like if I don't get back up, I am not honoring his sacifice.......

David and Dianna Wyles
David and Dianna Wyles It's very hard to just trust anything in this world we live in... graciously God has shown me through the years that trusting in him is the only way to be. Over the last 8 months I have had to have strong faith that God knew the plan and my daughter would recover from... well what ever made her go into a bipolar/ schizoaffective psychosis,(stress>>aunt dying of cancer +many more of life stresses) we might never really know all the answers, but God walked with us every day and she did choose to get better (after her aunt died ). Today it's still a one day at a time thing but she is sane again. I thank God daily for being my rock through that and for healing her. A few years back  Gods' angels saved that very same daughter from certain death in a car crash. to see the car... it's a miracle she is alive today. I have prayed and had them answered enough to know >> He always finishes what he starts & trusting in God's plan not ours is always the best choice.
