For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won't prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won't delay. Habakkuk 2:3 WEB.About thirty-five years ago, the Lord gave me a word that I would pioneer new things in ministry and fo...

The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king. In every matter of wisdom and understanding concerning which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchante...

If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

The Whole World In His Hands

  • The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn't dwell in temples made with hands. He isn't served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath and all things. Acts 17:24'25 WEB

He's got the whole world in His hands. Those words were part of a great song that I learned as a child, and I believed it. I could just picture God's huge hands holding the world. Then I grew up, got a job, and as life started happening to me, I slowly lost the focus of His mighty hands.

Careers, problems, relationships, and bills grew bigger and bigger. While the hands of God began to look smaller, and smaller. Before long, I could not picture them at all. The bad part of living like this is that everything that we can see, and all that we are working for, is temporary and will pass away. While the unseen things are eternal (2 Corinthians 4:18).

God's hand had not changed, but my view of them had. He still has the whole world in His hands. The breath of air that you just breathed in came from Him. He provided it for you, and though you cannot even see it, you would die without it. The day will come when it will return to Him (Ecclesiastes 12:7).

Do not lose sight of God's loving hands. Remember the things that He has done in your life. Encourage yourself in the Lord like David did (1Samuel 30:6). Our Heavenly Father is still the Creator of the universe. While the problem you are facing may look big in your hands, it would not even be noticeable in His. Give it to Him in prayer and trust Him to help you take care of it.

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You and I know that You do have the whole world in Your hands. You created it, and us Lord. I know that You know best and I choose to trust You this day. Please guide me to where I need to be, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen!

Note: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.' (Philippians 4:6-7) ~ If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network
