Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth dea...

By faith Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house, through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which ...

Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the way of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers; But his delight is in Yahweh's law; On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, That brings forth its fruit in its se...

So Good To Me

  • Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. Psalms 37:4 ESV

When the man tossed the cable on the desk, I started laughing. I could hardly believe it. I have always been drawn to technical things like a moth to a bug light and I like tinkering with them. I wanted to hook a computer up to my television and needed an DVI to HDMI cable. They are common today, but in 2004 they were nearly unheard of. I searched the Internet and found one for about forty dollars, but something told me to wait so I did not buy it.

We owned a small computer business and our first client of the day was an insurance company. We walked into the office and while discussing the issues that they were having, the man reached into a desk drawer and tossed an unopened DVI to HDMI cable on the desk. He said 'I don't know why I bought this, but I certainly do not need it. Maybe you can use it for something?' I started laughing. 'God is so good to me', I thought.

Some would say that is not scriptural and HDMI is not in the Bible, but it does not matter. The scripture says that He will give you the desires of your heart. Like the blind man said, 'I don't know how it happened. I was blind, but now I see', I needed a cable and did not have one, but now I do. Delight yourself in the Lord, put Him first in your life and He will take care of you. God cares about the little things, not just the big decisions and He wants to be intimately involved in your daily life. All that I know is this: He is so good to me.

Prayer: Father, draw my heart to You like never before. Give me the grace to live a life pleasing to You and walk with me each day, in the name of Jesus.

Note: For those who would like to join us, today we will be hosting our RHM Live Online church service. This is a special time of worship, prayer, fellowship and an inspiring message. All are welcome! Here is the link to join: RHM Live

Maria Mesia YES ¡¡¡ He is so good to me. Pastor is awesome that I read your post and just yesterday I was saying thanks to our Father for the several little things that He gave me in this days that make me smile with thanksfull joy. He knows certainly what little things we wish, not only for us, but also for others to have and I see God gave to them, that way He make me see my wishes toward others. GOD is good

I know exactly how you felt. I have a good friend who is a faithful believer in Christ also. She and I call each other a lot & say, " Guess what the Lord did for me today" then we tell each other what happened. We both live through each day and recognize how God lines things up that could not, or should not happen....but yet it does. We both look up to the heavens and say out loud, "God, I know that was you that did that" I thank you so much!" It makes for a truly wonderful day.

Amen!! He does give us the desires of our heart when we put him first in our life and make a practice of seeking him and reading his word daily. I went through a divorce awhile back and I was lost, I had to go live with a friend for awhile because I had no where to go. I had not been working for 8 years before my divorce so I didnt feel qualified to look for a job. I decided to go back to school and get my Associates Degree at least ( I was already 42). I got my degree and then I began looking for a job, I didnt know what I wanted to do but I prayed and was seeking God daily. He sent a girl to me that I barely knew, we had just met in a class that we were both taking. She told me of a job opening at her work. I applied for the job and I got hired. God set me up in this job. I worked there for 13 years until another company came in and let all management go.

I got remarried awhile later and we wanted to buy a house. We talked about the things we wanted in a house but we did not actualy pray for these specific thing. We did pray for the house though. We kept getting outbid by investors and were getting discouraged. Then once day a man I barely knew through a mutual friend called me and ask me if we were still looking for a house I said yes so he told me about this house. We ended up getting this house and God gave us all the desires of our hearts without actually praying for these thing. God is so good to us. Praise His holy name! Amen
