The rooster crowed the second time. Peter remembered the words that Jesus said to him, 'Before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.' When he thought about that, he wept. Mark 14:72 WEB.Peter said that he would die before he would deny Jesus. Then later that night, Peter denied that...

For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, Don't be afraid; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13 WEBWe have a proverb we live by when performing live music: "If you hit a bad note, hit it good." Yes, it should be "hit it well," but that's the phrase I grew up hearing in South Carolin...

The Long Run

  • Behold, today I am going the way of all the earth. You know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which Yahweh your God spoke concerning you. All have happened to you. Not one thing has failed of it. Joshua 23:14 WEB

Joshua had served God his whole life. He grew up in the presence of the Lord, and as a young man, he never departed from the tent of meeting where the Lord's presence settled (Exodus 33:11). When Moses died, Joshua led the Israelites into the promised land. The speech that he gave in Joshua 23:14 happened when he was 110 years old. You could say by then that Joshua knew what it was like to walk with the Lord.

Joshua had been one of the twelve spies sent to look at the promised land (Numbers 14:6), and later he led the people through countless battles as they entered it. Though at times things looked bad, and sometimes Joshua had to lay on his face (Joshua 7:6), God always came through in the long run.

So many times in my life, it has looked hopeless, when really, hope was right around the corner but I just could not see it. Each time I would get scared because I did not know what to do, but in the end, God would always come through. Sometimes things only make sense when looking backwards.

Do not panic in the short term, for God will work it out in the long run. The thing you fear that is coming, is not actually here yet. When and if it arrives, God will give you the grace for it when needed, not in advance. Take heart, God always comes through in the long run. We like to be independent and prepared for anything, but He wants us to learn to trust Him and stand firm in our faith while passing through the storm.

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for Your faithfulness. You have brought me this far and I know that You are able to take care of me. I should know this by now. Please forgive me for ever doubting You and touch my life again today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Struggling right now with some financial difficulties. However, I know the Lord will do what needs to be done.  He always has and I know He has this covered also. It's just scary because I am human.  Thank you Pastor Dion for always coming through when I need to be reassured.

I just went from homeowner to homeless but not Godless. I know God is faithful to keep holding my life under His wings. He is walking with me in this transition to get more of the richness of His kingdom here on earth, which includes everything I need, which IS IN HIM. Help me father to keep focus ON YOU, and guide me every day of my life. Please have mercy on my son where ever he is, straight his path, bring him back to You and make him a new man. Love You Father.

God is always with us, He goes before us and he stands behind us. I never quite know what is coming around the corner in my life but I know that God is with me and that he goes before me and stands behind me. Whenever I do not know what to do or how to handle a situation. I pray that God will lead me and guide me to His perfect will for my life. He has never let me down and He never will.  Thank you Pastor Dion for this message, thanks for all you and Sylvia do for Refreshing Hope Ministries!!

Amen and Amen!!! So very very true, Pastor Dion!!! "He was there all the time!" - I think that could be a title for a new song, what do you think, Pastor Dion? - Even, when we go through a new trial it always helps to look back and see His mighty helping hand, and then we can say again and again that He meant it for good all along!!!
