God spoke all these words, saying, 'I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath,...

And Pharaoh said to his servants, Can we find a man like this, in whom is the Spirit of God? Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, Since God has shown you all this, there is none so discerning and wise as you are. You shall be over my house, and all my people shall order themselves as you command. Genesis 41...

Moses said to Yahweh, 'Behold, you tell me, 'Bring up this people:' and you haven't let me know whom you will send with me. Yet you have said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found favor in my sight.' Now therefore, if I have found favor in your sight, please show me now your ways, that I may...

The Mountain Mover

  • Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. Psalm 37:5 ESV

Once while we were researching some property, we found a tax lien against us for several thousand dollars that I knew we did not owe. After calling the Department of Revenue, they said that we had missed filing some business form and the penalties and taxes had built up on it for years. We had never received any notification about this form and were horrified. They could not give us details because the record had been archived and they would have to restore a backup of it that night, so we were told, 'Please check back tomorrow.'

My wife and I prayed about this together and felt like we heard 'Say nothing negative.'

This was one of the hardest things that I had ever done. Every fiber of my being wanted to scream: 'We do not owe this!' and I wanted to whine and complain so badly'but we didn't. Instead, we just did not talk about it at all for the 24 hours. We just had to trust God to handle this situation as it had grown into a mountain. The next day we called the D.O.R. back and found that it was an error. We never owed the bill, so the penalties and fees should not have been there anyway. The lady nicely removed the record, and the lien went away.

When mountains rise up in front of you and things begin to look impossible to resolve, trust in the Lord God. He is able to bring to pass the impossible. Nothing is impossible for Him. He can move a mountain.

Prayer: Father, please melt the mountains in my life. Cover me with your Spirit and protect me through this time, in the name of Jesus.

Amen Jim. God started dealing with me about this not to many years ago. He said it's all or nothing. No leaving any parts to the side to cling to because God sees it all anyway. I was just foolin' myself, lol!

Ditto Perry. My earthly dad was a negative angry person. But, that was inherited from his mother and a rough life too. It's a chain in me that the Lord is breaking. He'll work with you, lol!  God bless.

Thank you for this reminder! I’m married to a negative, and angry man. He is a product of his childhood and it’s now a learned bad habit. I have been praying for him and Shared a book I was reading titled, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Dr. joe Dispenza. I noticed he started useing the slang term LOL after a lot of his comments! It was such a breath of fresh air! So, I believe in the power of prayer, positive thinking and power of breaking bad habits! I’m so thankful for the hope our Lord and Savior gives us
