Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth dea...

By faith Noah, being warned about things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared a ship for the saving of his house, through which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which ...

Blessed is the man who doesn't walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the way of sinners, Nor sit in the seat of scoffers; But his delight is in Yahweh's law; On his law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water, That brings forth its fruit in its se...

The Mighty Warrior

  • Yahweh's angel appeared to him, and said to him, 'Yahweh is with you, you mighty man of valor!' Judges 6:12 WEB

Dust and chaff drifted through the air as Gideon threshed the wheat. He was hiding inside of a winepress so that the Midianite raiders would not come and take the little that they had left. Each time the wheat harvest ripened, the raiders descended to take it away.

When threshing wheat, they would toss it up into the air with a rake, then the wind would blow away the lightweight chaff and the heavier wheat would fall to the ground. Inside the winepress, the surrounding walls would have prevented the wind from blowing, so separating the wheat from the chaff would have been very difficult. With no breeze at all, it was dirty, dusty, and hot.

While Gideon was doing this, the angel of the Lord appeared to him and called him a mighty warrior, a mighty man of valor. Though in reality, Gideon was the least in his family, who was the least in his tribe. Gideon was the least of the least, and hiding from the enemy.

The Lord saw something inside of Gideon, that Gideon did not know was there. There was more to Gideon than the normal eye could see on the outside. God used Gideon and three-hundred men to defeat thousands of Midianites without lifting a sword, because Gideon believed God. Though he was scared, he did what the Lord told him one step at a time and he won the battle. Gideon went from a zero, to a hero, from hiding from the enemy, to defeating their entire army.

God knows what He put inside of you, and you are well able to do what He calls you to do. Even if you are the least of the least, the smallest of the small, God still has a plan for you and He will enable you to complete it. He sees something in you that no one else does. If you will spend sometime alone with Him and get in tune with what He is doing, He will take your life to a new level. He will make the smallest, into a mighty warrior.

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for equipping me with all that I need to do my part here. I choose to trust You even when I feel under qualified, like I don't belong, like I am not the one that should be doing this. I know that if You bring me to it, You will bring me through it, and I am holding on to You today. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chron 7:14). If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network

Amen.  How I needed that before I knew I needed it, later in the day (Wednesday, July 24).  Thank you GOD for that Word from You and thank you LORD for raising up a prophet like Dion who is eager to hear your Word and to build up Your people.

And don’t forget the enemy works through people (wheats vs. tares) and satan is father of lies and there is no truth in him. So the tares call that which is good, evil, and that which is evil (themselves), good.  That which is strong, weak, and that which is weak (themselves), strong.  And your enemies will be they of your own household. And a prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and among his kindred.  And a tare will call itself wheat and will call the wheat a tare.   And people project their own motives and intentions onto others so when people of the truth hear the lies of the tares they tend to assume the tares are telling the truth and when the wheat tell the truth the tares assume the wheat, like the tares, are lying, or when the tares recognize the person as wheat (good), the tares set out to destroy the wheat through lies.

That’s how they, the tares, get ahead of the wheat.  That’s how satan’s kingdom prevails.

Why else would it seem so hard to “love your enemies and pray for those that persecute you,” before you realize that it’s the demonic influence on your enemies that is making them do evil?

Why else would it seem so hard to understand that “the kingdom of Heaven is made up of children such as these,” before you realize that children are without sin before age of accountability and therefore without demonic influence, hardening of their hearts, and a strong delusion by the god of this world, satan.

When this is becoming common knowledge, I sense the Kingdom of GOD is near, even right at the door.
