The Vineyard from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. I have always admired Amos, who was a shepherd in a field when the Lord told him to go and prophesy to King Jeroboam in Bethel. The priest Amaziah told him to prophesy somewhere else. They weren't interested in what the Lord had to say, but A...

for a righteous man falls seven times and rises up again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity. Proverbs 24:16 WEB.Once again, I was the one who promised he would never do it again, then went and did it again. I had slowly drifted away one more time. I have found that it's easy to make promises...

Then Satan answered Yahweh, and said, "Does Job fear God for nothing? Haven't you made a hedge around him, and around his house, and around all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth your hand now, and touch all t...

That Peaceful Easy Feeling

  • Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, 'My Father, if this cup can't pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.' He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy. He left them again, went away, and prayed a third time, saying the same words. Matthew 26:42 WEB

On the night that Jesus was betrayed, He was troubled in His spirit and He went to the garden of Gethsemane to pray. He kept praying and He went back three times, saying the same words again.

There is a time to pray in faith and stand on it, but here we see that Jesus Himself went back and prayed the same words again when He was troubled and sorrowful. He prayed until He had the peace in His spirit to face the trial that was soon coming.

I often pray while driving down the road or walking through a grocery store, but the real peace comes to me when my face is on the carpet pouring my heart out to God. Pray hard, get real, get serious, and it can change your life.

Submit your life to God's plan with: 'My Father, Your will be done.' I have seen impossible situations change overnight through intense prayer, but you have got to be desperate. You have got to want change.

A seminary teacher of mine while in his 40s developed a serious type of stomach cancer that no one had survived. He grew deathly sick, bed ridden, and they were ready to call in hospice. Then one night the church had a prayer meeting especially for him and they had him brought there. The intercessors anointed him with oil and prayed intensely for him for over four hours. He went home and began to vomit up an awful black liquid. When the next morning came, he no longer had cancer. He is now in his 70s and still teaching.

Today if you are facing something that will not leave you alone, and you are troubled, anxious and sorrowful, find a quiet place alone and spend time praying and sitting in the Lord's presence until the peace comes. If you are too weak, find others that will pray with you. When the peace finally comes, you will be able to face anything.

Prayer: Heavenly Father please lead me into all that You have for me and surround me with people that are willing to pray. Help me see the big picture through Your eyes and to trust in You. Guide my decisions and protect me from deception, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people" (Ephesians 6:18). If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network

This is so true! I could never have peace in my journey with stage 4 cancer if not for my talks with God and people praying for me.
