Then Mordecai asked them to return this answer to Esther: 'Don't think to yourself that you will escape in the king's house any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Who knows if you haven't come to the kingdom for such a time as this?' Esther 4:13 WEBEsther was not ready for the task that Mordecai was asking her to do. To go into the king's presence uninvited was a death sentence. There were so many things that needed to be done and plans to be made. This is not the time for that she thought. Then Mordecai told her that if she kept silent, God would use someone else. So Esther stepped out in faith, and God used her to save her people.
Many times when God calls us to do something, we start making excuses much like that. 'I am not ready yet. I am already too busy! There is so much I need to do. I need to get my life straightened out first, then I will do it. I really do not have the time. My life is a mess! I am not good enough. I can't do that!'
Anytime we begin to look at ourselves and our abilities, we will never measure up to the task that God will give us. If we could do it alone, then we would not need Him, so He will scale the task accordingly. We will always need His help. When the time comes, you will have to say 'Ready or not, here I go.'
When you feel God tugging on your heart, do not wait, do it then. He will cause you to have all that you have need of, and when He is with you, who can stand against you? Do not try and 'put your house in order first' because the enemy will make sure that it never happens. When you start walking with God, that is when your life will come back together. When God comes calling, do not make Him wait, go for it.

Thank You Lord for always providing for me. Please help me know what you want me to do with my life. I'm struggling at my job, and need to either do better there or find one that I can do well at. I don't know what to do Lord. I don't know what to look for. Please show me the way to both a job and a home. I have no where I belong now. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

When Jesus called, Simon and his brother Andrew literally dropped everything and followed Him at once without asking any question. Amazing!. "As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. 19 ‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will send you out to fish for people.’ 20 At once they left their nets and followed him." Matthew 4:18-20
