At the same time my understanding returned to me; and for the glory of my kingdom, my majesty and brightness returned to me. My counselors and my lords sought me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent greatness was added to me. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all his works are truth, and his ways justice; and those who walk in pride he is able to abase. Daniel 4:36 WEB
Nebuchadnezzar was a great king that ruled over most of the known world. He had conquered many nations, he had great dreams and he built huge palaces. Then he became very prideful, and in the height of his power it was all suddenly taken away from him. The Lord had warned him in a dream, the prophet Daniel interpreted it for him, but he would not listen, nor correct his course.
Nebuchadnezzar lost his mind and then wandered about the fields eating grass like an ox. His hair grew as long as eagle feathers and his nails like bird claws. After seven years of this, he lifted his eyes to heaven and his mind was restored, and then his kingdom. Though Nebuchadnezzar had allowed pride to mess up his life, when he humbled himself before God, he was restored and became even greater than before.
There was a time in my life where I was pretty sure that I had wrecked the plans that God had for me, but He is a God of restoration. He can take the broken pieces of your life and make it into something beautiful. It is not too late, and though we cannot change yesterday, we can choose our actions today and that will begin to shape our future.
If you have had a dream shattered, know that God is able to restore it. It is not gone, just delayed while we get a bit more polished and able to handle what He is giving us. His delay does not mean denial. The longer the wait, the greater the blessing.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please give me a new hope and a fresh vision. Restore the dream that You have for me and make it a reality. Lead me into new things and help me balance my attitudes during this time, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

There have been several times in my life where I felt like I had screwed up. I remember saying to God, " well I really messed it up this time," and then continued on with my life allowing God to quietly lead me on to an even better life. I have kept in faithfulness to Him and He has lead me thru all times, good and bad.

He put Daniel there at the right time, and He sought me and saved me, and restored me, He restores each and everyone of us according to His will, goodness, mercy and grace! Praise His holy name!!!
