Jacob saw the expression on Laban's face, and, behold, it was not toward him as before. Yahweh said to Jacob, 'Return to the land of your fathers, and to your relatives, and I will be with you.' Genesis 31:2 WEBThings were beginning to be difficult for Jacob where he worked. The Lord had certainly put him there in the beginning, prospered him greatly and he had become wealthy. Up until then, his father-in-law had always treated him with favor. Now there was a distance between them, strife, and a growing distrust. Laban had changed Jacob's wages ten times (Genesis 31:7). Though each time Laban tried to pay Jacob less, God would reverse the expected outcome and Jacob would grow wealthier. Then the day came when the Lord told Jacob, 'Return home and I will be with you.'
I have been in a work place where I knew without a shadow of doubt that God had put me there. At first it was very easy and graceful, but eventually the grace lifted. It became difficult, there was a growing distrust, and each change that came was always for the worse. In time, the Lord told me to leave, though at the time I had nowhere to go. It was just a leap of faith. This I have learned:
'When the grace is gone, it is time to move on.'
Sometimes when it becomes time to move, God will allow things to become increasingly difficult, and then a door opens where we should go. It can all seem so natural, but it is God behind the scenes moving people to where they need to be. Not every difficult situation is to be left; some of the worst ones I had to endure. There were three points in this story: 1) Jacob had gotten uncomfortable. 2) He was able to leave. 3) He felt that he heard the Lord say go.
Anytime that you have to make a big decision, pray and listen for the Lord's voice. Jesus said, "My sheep hear My voice.' Ask the Lord to make it an easy decision and to close the doors that you should stay out of. Change brings new and exciting things and it is necessary for us to move forward. If you do not change directions, you will end up exactly where you are headed. So be sure that is where you want to go.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You all that You have done for me. I want You to be a part of my life and to guide me. Speak to me in a way that I understand and give me direction. Help me make Godly decisions, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.Note: "Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." (Jeremiah 29:12). This speaks directly to me about my current situation and praying and waiting on God about relocating to Texas. To be near my oldest son, daughter in law and grandchildren. Also to make a new start for me my youngest two sons and my mother. Seems like after my wife and my dad's passing. The door being closed on two good jobs and difficulty with my sons finding gainful employment. Through much prayer,it seems like you have said pastor Dion, that God is pushing us through the cattle chute to a new start in Texas. Thank you for a timely word from Holy Spirit this morning pastor Dion!

Tried to comment, the whole thing went away when I pressed post comment. This message is so timely for me right now. I'll just try a short comment and see if it works.
It worked. Guess the other reply was too lengthy. I need those that will to stand in agreement with, in prayer, if I should move or stay in my home. I moved 18 mos ago from my home of over 20 yrs back here after being gone over a total of 24 yrs. Prayed about it and felt 100% in God's will. Now, if could or can go wrong in this house it has. The crime is ridiculous to the point of me not even feeling safe doing yard work. A drug house is next door. Could go on and on but will stop as I want my need prayed about with this ministry. Thank you.
Sorry for the issue with the post, Debbie, but glad you got it working! I have added your issue to the list to see if we can figure it out. Praing for His protection and guidance, sister!
praying for you...
Amen!
