Walking on Water from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Today I want to talk about the importance of believing the Lord, of shaking off the naysayers and continuing on your own journey. People have a tendency to not want you to go where they have not been. Leaders cannot lead you, where they h...

Out of that terrible travail of soul, he'll see that it's worth it and be glad he did it. Through what he experienced, my righteous one, my servant, will make many 'righteous ones,' as he himself carries the burden of their sins. Therefore I'll reward him extravagantly' the best of everything, the ...

But Ruth said, Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. Ruth 1:16 ESVRuth walked along the road thinking about ...

Through the Fire

  • Then Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished, and rose up in haste. He spoke and said to his counselors, 'Didn't we cast three men bound into the middle of the fire?' They answered the king, 'True, O king.' He answered, 'Look, I see four men loose, walking in the middle of the fire, and they are unharmed. The appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods. Daniel 3:24 WEB

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, were tied up and thrown into a furnace that had been heated seven times hotter than normal, just for them. The furnace was so hot that it killed the guards that were throwing them in, and they all fell into the blazing furnace together.

They were probably not thinking: 'What a blessing this is to have befallen us today' while on the way down. Nevertheless, they were not alone in the furnace for the Lord had sent Someone to take care of them.

When they came out of the furnace, they did not even smell like smoke, and their clothes were not burned. Only the ropes that bound them were burned off, and they were now walking 'unbound and free.' What once had a grip on them and held them tightly, was now burned away.

Sometimes the Lord will use the fire to set you free. The things that used to hold you back will quickly burn away in the furnace of affliction. The baggage that we cling to will burn away and we get a new perspective on what is really important, and when you come out the other side you will be 'Unbound.'

Prayer: Heavenly Father I trust You for You know what it takes. Lord send the Comforter like you promised, meet me in the furnace, and set me free from the things that hold me back, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: Good morning! For those who are not aware, we have been bringing an interactive online Bible Study. We are currently in Chapter Eleven of the book of Luke, but you can join at any time! Yes.Yes.Yes. Lord please set me free from this depression that has its hold on me! I try & try to change my thinking, but I am so overwhelmed ALL THE TIME! It never leaves & even tho I trust you Lord, I feel I cannot take it anymore, I wish for death on a daily basis...then, I feel guilty because I know there are people everywhere suffering REAL illnesses, disasters have destroyed so many places & ppl have nothing left, etc. So how can I justify these feelings when I have so much? Sorry, I should probably go to the prayer group with all this...

Hi David and Dianna, I pray the same for you and maybe one day when I get well we can meet. That would be really nice. Maybe even in the summer come to our cottage and go out on the pontoon. I keep pushing to get well God' knows how bad I want to enjoy my lasy years on earth. I will keep praying to him to get me well to enjoy some of my later years. I just want to enjoy good people and have some time with people I would love to meet. I want to be well and able to take the trips that we want too. Blessings and may God, keep his loving arms around you and your family and give you all your needs. In Jesus, name. Amen <3 Do you teo know who said in a fooball game not to long ago dilly dilly? lol
