Then he began to denounce the cities in which most of his mighty works had been done, because they didn't repent. 'Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which were done in you, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. Bu...

The God who made the world and all things in it, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, doesn't dwell in temples made with hands, neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things. Acts 17:24 WEBWhen I was growing up, we us...

RHM Devotional: Heroes and Monsters from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Today I want to talk about the potential of being a Hero, or a Monster, that exists inside each one of us. We get to choose. Once when Jesus was preaching from a boat, He told a parable about a man that sowed wheat in H...

Heads or Tails

  • For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees? But if we hope for that which we don't see, we wait for it with patience. Romans 8:24 WEB

'Oh I don't want to face tomorrow. I have a bad, bad, feeling about this.' On and on we go into a spiral of self pity and hopelessness. Fear, anxiety, and depression begin to snowball and soon consume us. Eventually there is a complete lack of hope, and only bleak darkness is left.

Hope can be defined as expectation, trust and confidence. Knowing that something good is coming your way. Fear can be defined as anxious, apprehensive, alarmed, or dread. Knowing that something bad is coming your way.

They are polar opposites, and you cannot live in one realm, while walking in the other. A strange thing is that neither of these are seen. Like the wind, both are invisible, and it really takes just as much faith and energy to believe one, as the other. The difference is that one builds you up, and the other brings you down.

Do not waste your energy on fear, channel it into hope. Instead of speaking about what might happen, focus on what you want to happen, then act accordingly and wait patiently for it to come to pass. God does hear our prayers. He is not deaf. We just have to learn to grow up a little and to trust Him along the way. He has got this and when it is over and you are looking back, you will feel silly to have doubted Him. I know that from experience.

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for today and I am looking forward in hope for what You are doing in my life. I know that You will see me through whatever I face, and I look to You for my needs. My help comes from the Lord. I choose to trust in You today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire cometh it is a tree of life.

God ALWAYS here's our prayers and will never leaves us!  Trust is most important along with Faith, Hope, Love and Peace. Our Father in Heaven watches over us and will never let harm come our way!  Though we may not understand and at times ask these questions: Why me? What's going on? Why isn't God listening? How could this happen?  Our Father knows what will happen long before it comes to pass.  Faith and Hope give us the strength to hold ever so tightly to God and we can rest assure that as long as we know he is with us, nothing else matters.  In the end, God ALWAYS looks out for the best interest of us ALL.  Blessed I truly am and I thank you Father for the Love and Compassion you give and show me everyday.  Amen!!

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for today and I am looking forward in hope for what You are doing in my life. I know that You will see me through whatever I face, and I look to You for my needs. My help comes from the Lord. I choose to trust in You today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Thank you Lord for all your provisions. We can only appreciate that we have not been without a roof over our heads this last month. We have had food and warmth. WE have been guided to find ways to upgrade our current situation. Even when the rush of anxiety comes crashing down on me, a little part of me still remembers you will never leave us Father and I thank you for holding me through each and every day. Thank you for pulling me out of that deep depression and into hope again... I may still have a ways to go but I see you again now Father and that's all I need. Amen! Thank you Pastor <3 God bless
