Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, "Don't fight with small nor great, except only with the king of Israel." When the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, they said, "It is the king of Israel!" Therefore they turned around to fight against him. But Jehoshap...

The Kingdom Express

  • And when they began to sing and praise, the LORD set an ambush against the men of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, so that they were routed. For the men of Ammon and Moab rose against the inhabitants of Mount Seir, devoting them to destruction, and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they all helped to destroy one another. 2Chr. 20:22 ESV

A great army came up against Israel and King Jehoshaphat was scared as the situation looked hopeless. But he went to the Lord in prayer and afterwards brought out the choir in holy attire and sent them before the army, singing “Give thanks to the Lord, for His steadfast love endures forever.” The approaching praise team had to look completely insane to the enemy army.

When the praise team started up, God set ambushes against the enemy and they turned on each other and wiped themselves out. Not a single one escaped. Israel did not have to kill a man and it took them three days to gather all the spoil. A vast amount of food, medicine, armor, weapons, clothing, and all types of supplies were “delivered” right to their door. They spent a long time thanking God for this amazing blessing. The giant enemy army that they were afraid of, turned out to just be delivery boys. God’s people faced the enemy, but God won the battle for them.

If you facing an impossible situation today, do not neglect praising God, and face it with a smile. Praise (halal) means to flash, radiate, to shine; to make the Lord look good! Lord, you are Awesome! God’s way is not our way, it is better. It just may be that your impossible situation becomes a great blessing in disguise, delivered right to your door by the Kingdom Express.

Kathy Banfield I notice that, in the OT, God often causes confusion and cayuse among the enemy troops. That is another "common denominator" I found recently when studying my Bible.Oh yes, I once said, "Humans CANNOT forgive and forget--it's just not possible!" But God demands us to do just that--perhaps not to forget (that's impossible!) but we are called to forgive, just as Jesus did.Yesterday, I was pondering on how difficult Jesus' life must have been. Can you imagine living with constant rejection? I would have welcomed death myself, but more likely committed suicide first.

Sheri Stewart
Sheri Stewart praising God for all reasons at all times is good. i practice this 24/7 it is when i am at my most angry or lowest that i feel the veil lift by just being still and giving it all to God-even if i am at a traffic light.  God doesn't care where you are, or what you are letting go or thanking for He just cares that you spend time with Him, love Him, walk with Him and share your faith.

Kathy Banfield Your message just inspired me to confess something I've been "hiding" since mid-December 2014. That's when I experienced a "near-death" event. From that day, I've had a renewal of Spirit and seem to have acquired wisdom I never had previously.I can relate to Jesus at Gesthemethe; He must have been SO frustrated when His friends slept--quite often, I feel the same, and lash out at family members when they sleep while I'm awake and pondering certain bible verses that trouble me. I DO NOT consume alcohol (save for social occasions) nor do I use illicit drugs. My only prescribed meds are Klonopin (which I rarely take. It's ordered "prn", or, as needed) Mobic, and Remeron for sleep.I stopped taking Prozac as that was indicated for my eating disorder, which has vanished.I am not hearing voices or seeing things not visible to others.I do NOT claim to be the Son of God (I'm a woman!) nor am I "holy" In fact,. I actually hung up on my priest when he refused to listen to me! No one has any clue what my experience has done to my family. My kids are scared to death of me. My ex husband is supportive, but is not a believer and thinks I experienced a natural reaction to oxygen deprivation. My therapist doesn't know what to think, period. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd welcome EVERY and ALL comments. Blessings and thanks, Kathy

Carol Pady Thank you for reminding me of the many times in my life that God turned trials into blessings! His ways are much higher than ours. His plans are for our good and He is always faithful to provide for our every need,  whether that need be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. He knows exactly what we need to grow our faith!

Michele Smart
Michele Smart These messages are always so on point.  An evil person from my past has shown their face again in my life in the form of identity theft.  After reading this I had to take a moment to stop and pray to thank God for his protection against this enemy and I feel a sense of peace now knowing he is by my side in the battle to come.

Twila Stierwalt
Twila Stierwalt Keep your eyes on Jesus, One of the things that I have found to help me is to memerize scripture. Try to look at things from Gods eyes. Psalm 62: 1-2&5-8, My soul waits in silence, for God only; From Him is my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken. My sole wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He only is my roch and my salvation my stronghold; I shall not be shaken. On God my salvation and glory rest; The rock of my stringth, my refuge is in God.Trust in him at ALL times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.

Randy Dodge
Randy Dodge When the praise goes up even when the walls don't come down and the obstacles are not removed our hearts are changed, encouraged and strengthened as we begin to see a glimpse into eternity and God's greater plan so He gets all the glory. There is no enemy in heaven or on earth or beneath the earth that can stand against the power of the eternal God!!! And He has made us more than conquerors through Christ for eternity, " Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us." Romans 8:37 NKJV
