Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he bowed himself down on the earth, and put his face between his knees. He said to his servant, 'Go up now, and look toward the sea.' He went up, and looked, and said, 'There is nothing.' He said, 'Go again' seven times. On the seventh time, he said, 'Behold, a small cloud, like a man's hand, is rising out of the sea.' He said, 'Go up, tell Ahab, 'Get ready and go down, so that the rain doesn't stop you.' ' In a little while, the sky grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain. 1 Kings 18:42 WEB
It had not rained on the earth in three and a half years when Elijah knelt to pray (James 5:17). He prayed and nothing seemed to happen, so he prayed again, yet nothing seemed to happen. He prayed a third time, but nothing seemed to happen. He kept praying, and he kept checking. Elijah prayed seven times before the rain began to fall.
Jesus prayed for a blind man twice (Mark 8:25). In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus went back and prayed the same words three times (Matthew 26:44). Jesus told a parable to His disciples that they should pray always and not give up (Luke 18:1). It was about an unjust judge whom a widow kept coming to until she wore him out, and he gave her what she asked. Then He said 'Will God not bring justice for His chosen ones that cry out day and night?'
I once read a testimony by Kenneth Hagin who said that he prayed for a blind woman seven times. Each time she would fall to the ground, but when she got up, she was still blind. Finally the eighth time that she came forward for prayer, he prayed for her and moved on to the next person. Soon she started screaming 'I can see!' She was healed, but it took praying for her eight times. The Lord later showed him a vision of an octopus wrapped around her eyes, and each time he prayed, one leg would come off. He had to pray eight times to see the final result.
Pray until it happens. Pray until you see it. Pray and don't give up. Just because you don't see it the first time does not mean that nothing happened. Pray again. Things change when we pray and the prayers of the righteous have great power (James 5:16). The end result of prayer is when we see it manifest in the natural, but it does not start there. Pray through the tentacles.

Perry & Karen, for some reason, I too believed that way! Isn't it great to know the truth, that we are instructed in His word to "Pray without ceasing"...and the vision given to Kevin Hagen why it took until the 8th time he prayed for the blind woman to be healed is so kewl! And makes perfect sense! God Bless
I too have been told to pray, leave it in God's hands and believe, but the Bible does say to pray without ceasing. I believe that praying is always good, but we must take the time to stop and listen too. In Isaiah 43, He tells us that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Often times we pray and pray but do not listen to His ways and His way of escape.
Amen!! I know the power of Prayer!! I prayed for God to save my Son, a motorcycle accident nearly killed him. Given a 10% chance of survival the Dr said. I found the Chapel, prayed constantly. After 23 days in a coma, and 6 weeks in the hospital, God answered those prayers. My son is alive today, almost 4 years since that accident. He is not able to work, drive or do the things he used to, but he is alive!! My miracle!! Thanks to prayer and Gods grace! Amen to the Power of Prayer.
Praise our LORD GOD for HE is merciful and loving. TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!

I have been praying concerning the octopus for a long time and received dreams about me personally, my city in USA and in Pakistan where we minister. This article gave me another key and I used it. The revelation that began immediately downloading was incredible. I have shared this article and the insights that I received. I KNOW it is going to help set many captives free!!!
Love this! Thank you so much!

Prayer is the key to everything. We got stsy prayed up and keep our trust and faith in the Lord!
Thank you SO MUCH for this lesson! For some reason, I have believed that if I prayed the same prayer more than once, then, it meant that I must not have had faith that the prayer would be answered. I'm glad I was wrong about that! God bless, Kim
And from reading the comments from other members, I see I wasn't alone in that belief! Guess you can teach an old dog new tricks! heehee
