Snow White

  • Come now, and let us reason together, says Yahweh: 'Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land Isaiah 1:18 WEB

As I looked out over the fresh snow that now covered our home, smoke slowly rose from the chimney. It was a rare day in South Carolina when snow covered the house and I thought how truly beautiful that it was. So white, so pure, so fresh and clean, with each snowflake being unique and beautiful. All the dead and brown grass was gone, everything was now gleaming white. It reminded me of the touch of God's hand on someone's life.

Some of us have been dragged through the mud of life and are as black as coal. We have been told by some that we are nothing, but God says that we are something. He will completely remove our sins and wash us as white as snow when we put our trust in Jesus (Romans 10:9).

No matter what you have done in the past, you can now be clean and free. God knows you by name. Pure, fresh, clean, forgiven, a unique and beautiful child of God showing the touch of God's hand on their life. Renewed, refreshed, revitalized, with the dead and brown past gone.

One of the most anointed women that I ever saw minister was a former prostitute and drug addict. When she first became saved and delivered, the church shunned her. So she converted some of her street walking friends and started a powerfully anointed ministry team. Then the church welcomed her. Church people can be funny like that.

Do not let your past mistakes still determine who you are today. God can take away the past and make your life shine. Hold your head up and act like the child of God that you were created to be. Stand up straight. You have nothing to be ashamed of. He can make your past into a powerful testimony, and turn a meaningless existence, into something beautiful.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for forgiving me, cleansing me, and washing me as white as snow. Why do I care what others think when You love me so much? Help me to understand the fullness of Your love and to live it in my life today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Amen. We not only need to trust Jesus to forgive our past trespasses, but also our current and future ones. No matter how hard we try to not sin, we will fall at times, yet he is faithful to forgive us every time!

The timing of these messages are amazing.  With God's help and his miraculous work he has done in my life I am in the helping field (professionally), and personally I have and continue to do public speaking engagements to inform and inspire.  God had a plan all along while I was in the darkness and convinced I was doomed.   I thank God for his grace, Amen.
