If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn. Walk on Water from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. An extraordinary event unfolds in Matthew chapter 14, one that is unparalleled elsewhere in the Bible: a common fisherman defying the laws of nature by walking on water. This miraculous feat wasn't performed by Jesus, but rather by Peter, a ...

The Birds And The Trees

  • See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to the measure of his life? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. Matthew 6:26 WEB

The ants crawling along the ground always have plenty to eat. So do the squirrels running along the tree limbs, the birds and the bees flying through the air, the fish swimming in the sea, they are all taken care of by God. Plants and trees that are rooted in place and cannot even move, are still taken care of by God right where they are.

Everything in nature does their part as they are able, and God takes care of the rest. He puts what they need within their reach, even if they are immobilized. We have a giant oak tree in our yard that has never taken a step from where it was born and it is nearly one-hundred years old.

The birds of the air are taken care of one day at a time. There may be a drought or a famine, and it may affect them for a while, but being that their species is not extinct, they have been taken care of pretty well for a very long time.

It is always us who start to panic when it does not happen fast enough. So many times I have been concerned about tomorrow, only to find that when it got here, everything was fine. God took care of it somehow. Look back over your life. You are still here.

I am not saying there have not been times that lacked of wants, times of having less than I wanted to have, or felt that I deserved. The Lord knows that we have seen the unemployment line more than once, but we have never had to go hungry. There was always something to eat and something to wear.

David said 'I have been young, and now I am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread' (Psalms 37:25).

Don't panic, don't get anxious about what you think may come. Don't let your fear snowball into something that blocks your view of God. He knows your needs and you mean much more to Him than the birds of the air that He also takes care of. He created us in His own image. When the need comes, the answer will as well. Just continue to do your part and trust that God will provide what you need within your reach.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for providing for me. You are so good to me and I want more of You in my life. Lord, cover me in Your peace. Touch me today and let me know that You are there no matter what I face, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Very much what I needed. Although my SSD has been approved, I have not gotten anything in writing in the mail. Nor has the SS worker returned my calls. All I know is I have been approved. I asked her two weeks ago when this will be availabe, I said my rent is due December 1, she said, she thinks it will be there then. I have not bitten off my fingernails, I am at peace, but there is still that unknown what if. I have $1.22 in my checking, Foodstamps come in on the 7th, savings holds fast at .13 cents. This whole past year has been a walk of faith, of trust, of Beliving God would do what He said he would do. What happens in my life is a testomony to God in how it was handled, God gets the glory, cause at times I feel like the kid on Homealone when he puts on shaving colonge and screams out loud. My heart belongs to the Lord, I gave that a long time ago, He knows me inside and out, he knows my faults, my weaknesses and my fears, yet I still him whisper, trust Me, Everything is going to be ok, be still, all is not lost ,are but a few whispers I hear from him when I am blue. God ordered my steps again today, I am thankful and will continue to trust his promises.

Amen, Father you have always taken care of my family. There were times I've been anxious but now I calmly do my part and wait for you to answer and handle the situation, you have never let me down, even in hard times you have been there. Thank you in Jesus's name

I had to chuckle...once again, your message Pastor, is directly related to what I was thinking and praying about.  Less than an hour agao I was praying about my truck and finances being tight and this online course I've started, which is making things tighter for the next fwe months.  Seems I got my answer! Thank You Lord, for always taking care of me.

I like the last line..."just continue to do your part"....God gave us free will and I believe He expects us to do our part. We are not trees rooted to one spot so we need to move!
