RHM September 2016 Newsletter

  • September Newsletter - 2016

    Hello there,

Thank you for reading our devotional and being a part of Refreshing Hope Ministries. This is our monthly update on what has been happening here during the last month and I thank you for taking time to read it.

September went by pretty quickly for us and I happened to notice that it is now over and this newsletter is now late. We fasted the month of August and it seemed to creep by very slowly, but after 09/09, the month sped up a lot!

Sylvia and I attended a Pastor’s conference (Evangel Fellowship International) last week and it was very refreshing for us both. We got timely prophetic words that spoke into our lives and reinforced what I felt that the Lord has been telling us during our fast.

In summary, He told us that we see way ahead of the curve and that causes us to be misunderstood by many. We don’t see church as a brick and mortar building, but instead people from all nations connected to each other, using the power of the Internet. He told us that He had saved our ministry for the last days, and that is why He waited 25 years before He let us begin. Now the time had arrived and we are only at the beginning of what He has in store.

No other people in history have had the opportunity that we do. We were born for such a time as this. The daily devotional that we write, instantly reaches people in the United States, Canada, India, China, Russia, Germany, Africa, France, England, Mexico, and so many other places every day, over 125 nations. Not many years ago, this would have been impossible.

We have started “Refreshing Hope Live” where we now have live church meetings over the Internet on Sunday mornings. In a recent meeting, we had people from India, Indonesia, and Canada as well as the U.S., gathering together in a single Church meeting.

Christians gathered together from all nations, all walks of life, all denominations, learning the Bible and celebrating knowing Jesus. A church without borders, reaching people right where they are. That is what I see for Refreshing Hope, and we are just getting started. Join us.

    New Videos Available:
We completed our video series on the Holy Spirit during the live meetings on Sunday and they are now on the website:

The Holy Spirit 1: Who is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit 2: Ignorance in The Church
The Holy Spirit 3: The Baptism of The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit 4: The Gifts of The Spirit
Follow up: The Birthday of the Church

This past Sunday we began a new series on “Faith, Hope, and Love.”

    New Group Idea:
I am thinking about starting a technical group on the website to discuss, well computer related things. For instance, in the past few weeks I have been working on a NAS (Network Attached Storage) system for RHM. It can be a place to share computer projects, equipment reviews and recommendations, building websites, software and general computer maintenance, updates, virus removal and such.

It could be a place where we could help each other deal with our computer problems, which after owning a computer business for 20 years, I have seen a lot of. If you are interested, please let us know in the comments on the website, or send us a quick email. If there is enough interest, we will try and make it happen.

Online Church News: www.refreshinghope.org - We have grown to 3,473 members and 15,543 friendships. We have had 108 prayer requests and sent 340 replies to them. A big thanks to our ministry team.

The Refreshing Hope live meetings are happening each Sunday morning at 11 AM Eastern Time. The attendance usually runs between 30 to 50 people. For those that cannot attend, the messages are recorded and placed on the website at refreshinghope.org. Click “Watch” on the menu. Many thanks to all those who have been participating in the live meetings. It has been an experience and the whole group, praying together for each other is great.

We have created a mailing list for the live meetings to keep you updated on what is going on. You can sign up here if you are interested:

    New things added:

The Healthful Living group’s monthly focus event is “Peace in Troubled Times”. Unchecked stress, anger and fear can all negatively affect our health. The event’s purpose is to bring scriptures, personal wisdom and prayer for peace. Since the U.S. election is coming up and is a particularly stressful one, we are extending the event through election date. We invite you all to join! Also, don’t miss out on the fun weekly themes hosted by the Creation Photographers group; they are a joy. Finally, the FAAD group is looking into the best way to bring back their weekly chat and even expand into topics that we all can share in. Please keep their leaders in prayer for His best will!

If you are in need of prayer, we are here for you! Just click on the Prayer link on the website menu (you will need to be logged in). Also, if you are interested in joining our prayer team, please do contact us.

Thank you so much for being part of Refreshing Hope Ministries. We are astounded at the beautiful community that God has gathered here. You all bless us immensely and we pray for God’s blessings over each of you!

    Pastor Dion

Deborah Tibbetts Pastor, I can't even express what your ministry has done for me and my family! Your message each day seems to speak to one of us specifically everyday. Your online church expresses so much love and I believe the Lord has truly blessed us all because of it. We really need prayers right now. I am under spiritual attack continually, and even though I rebuke Satan he comes back harder. My family needs prayer right now as well. God bless you, your wife, and team for what you are doing! Thank you! My husband is a disabled veteran. He retired three years ago with PTSD, TBI, and numerous other issues. He is just not the same man. He is prone to emotional outbursts about the slighest things. Due to a life of abuse before we married (30 years ago), I have always had depression and anxiety issues. Needless to say, we need so much prayer! Thank you so much!

I am all for the "new group idea" to share computer problems, solutions and information. God has blessed me to maintain my two laptops and most certainly my HP Pavilion has been more than a challenge since I rented it (and now own) from Rent-A-Center.

I am so thankful to read the devotional and have made a few prayer requests. The encouragement has helped me with family issues and the death of my beloved husband last year. I read it every morning. Thank you and God bless your ministry and your family as well as all the members and myself.  Amen.

Pastor Dion and Sylvia, Thank you again so much for your dedication to the Lord and His work. I'm glad you guys were able to get some time of refreshment. Your work is reaching many in many different ways. I know your series on the Holy Spirit has been a great teaching. Besides listening to David Wilkerson I really never have heard anyone teach on the Holy Spirit the way you have. And I've attended church my whole life. It's very disappointing that the "church" doesn't teach the Holy Spirit. I guess they all feel that everything would be out of their control. I've always said that we here in America are missing something in our church's. I've always asked why are we not experiencing the supernatural power that other's experience over abroad. Your messages are doing a work in my life. Please continue to hear from the Lord and do not grow weary. I'll continue to pray strength in your ministry.
