Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They don't toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, won't he much more clothe you, you of little faith? Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' Matthew 6:28 WEB
I grew up in the country and often rambled through the woods, looking for adventure. There was an oak tree that covered a stream near our house that became my summer camp one year. It had all of our names carved in it, as well as many that had been there before us. When I was small, it was already a large tree. That tree is now over a hundred years old and over the years, it has continued to grow and it is now majestic. I loved that tree and the cool shade that it provided me.
Trees are amazing. Their roots grow down into the soil and draw up water and minerals that are unseen to us. Their sustenance is invisible to us and provided so naturally that we don't even notice, in fact, it is "super natural" provision. It happens naturally and gradually as they need it.
God provides everything that they need to grow and before we were born, trees were already there and doing well. They live their whole life unable to walk or to provide anything for themselves. If they needed anything, they could not move a single step to get it. Yet God provides for their every need, right where they are.
God will provide for you the same way. No one can cut you off because they cannot control where your supply is coming from. The check that you receive is not your only means of survival. God provides for all of creation and He will provide for you when you put your trust in Him.
Do not look at the signer of a check as your savior. When it fails, God can raise up another source to provide for your needs. Relax, He provides for mighty forests and He is certainly able to provide for you. Pray, make your needs known, and then trust God for provision (Philippians 4:6). Don't be anxious about what may come.
Prayer: Father, I thank You for taking care of me. It has been quite a journey, but I am still here. Today I put my trust in You. I choose You as my provider. Philippians 4:6 tells us to make our requests known to You, even though you know them already, so here are my needs. (List your needs). Thank You so much, in the name of Jesus I pray.
Amen. I love it when things are compared to His creation. His creation is what draws me to Him and makes me realize how majestic and awesome He is. Thank you Father.
This is perfect timing i needed to hear this today
amen
There are a lot of people who do not understand this way of thinking. Growing up in America, we are tought that we can be anything we want to be if we work hard enough to acomplish it. America is called a Christian Nation, but some how the truth that God even exists is lost in the teaching. Each one of us were born with a purpose, "GOD'S PURPOSE". When we finally come to understand that, and begin to live God's Purpose in our lives, He will provide the things we need to have great success. The Bible says the God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants. Maybe it is time to live that way!
Yes, Jim, it's time!
Amen! The Lord has been giving me a Bible verse the last week of Sept.
Philippians 4:6-76 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
This has appeared over and over through books I have been reading and email devotions. I feel Abba is preparing me for something and reminding me that If I pray through it, I will have peace. Life is one big adventure. Thank God I have Him to walk through it with me.
Amen and thank you Lord, for your provisions
Thank you Lord for your Peace and your Blessed Assurance.
Learning still where my provisions come from. I can be spinning along, totally exhausted and still my provisions didn't come. Thank you for reminding me to stop and ask for my needs. I know it works with faith and I've gotten off track a little. Thanks Dion for bringing us the messages of hope. God bless you and your lovely wife.

I was just starting to be weary again (because of my sinful thoughts) then your message for today wakes me up. Me and my son will always trust you LORD GOD for all our provision comes from you. I am not going to worry again, for what ever we pray with all our heart in your name our LORD JESUS CHRIST it will be given unto us. Pray with all your heart and present your petition and supplication and it will be given unto you. Me and my son believe and we will receive it. In the name of OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. Amen
