And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood Revelation 1:5 WEB
'Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so; Little ones to Him belong. They are weak, but He is strong.'
Many of us learned these words when we were kids, so simple and yet today, so forgotten. It is easy to stray from this one simple fact that the entire Christian walk is based on, and then slip into a life of cold legalism. Leaders begin to use religion to control the behavior of the people. The love of Jesus, is replaced with keeping a set of rules, and each denomination has their own custom set, tailored by them.
The Truth: Jesus loves us so much that He shed His own blood to pay for our sins on the cross at Calvary. He died for us and He has already paid for all of the sins that I have done, and all of the sins that our children will commit in the future if we will let Him. We simply ask for His forgiveness and then try to not do it again. Sure you should try and live right. Jesus said that if you love Me, you will keep My commandments (John 14:15). One of His commandments was to love one another (John 13:34). If you do this one right, you will fulfill the rest of them automatically.
Today you may have many problems, but a sin problem is not one of them. Not being loved by Him is not one of them. Accept the fact that Jesus loves you. Accept His forgiveness when you make mistakes, because forgiveness is for you as well. Accept Jesus, for we are weak, but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me and yes, I will love others.
Prayer: Father, help me strip away the complex and see the simple truth of the Gospel. I believe that You love me, and I love You. I want to walk with You hand in hand. Please send the Comforter like You promised and give me a fresh fire today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
Note: Happy Sunday! For those who did not see the email, the latest RHM newsletter is now available. To read it, just look under the "News" link on the site menu. The Sunday service will be happening today at 11am EST (with the room opening about 15 mins before). Because Dion has been under the weather, we will not have a formal message, but will be taking prayer requests for Dion and everyone attending to pray over. We look forward to seeing you there!
Prayer: Father, help me strip away the complex and see the simple truth of the Gospel. I believe that You love me, and I love You. I want to walk with You hand in hand. Please send the Comforter like You promised and give me a fresh fire today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray. Amen! Yes Lord PLEASE fill me with fresh fire! Renew my mind, body, spirit in you Lord! Help me to see the next step in your plan for me / us! Light the way and fill my heart with peace and joy! Lift this burden of unstable income and put us back on your path to stable, and secure revenue! Lead us to the way to catch up all that is behind and lift this spirit of doomed and the dispair I KNOW is just the enemy taking every chance in my weary state to keep my focus on the wrong things. If we have to leave this home so be it Father, but please let us find the way catch up that which we already owe! This Landlord has been so kind and only showed us your love and mercy! I don't want to leave owning so much to him... In all things you provide Father! I am standing in faith today that you are making a way... that my car will sell or that you will open a door to a job opportunity, that you will not take me back to the edge of insanity, doom and dispair before you provide a way for us to make it in this world! That you won't let us be homeless, that you know our health and needs, that you are here with us and have not forgotten us! Tell Satan to LEAVE ME ALONE! I am your child! He cannot TOUCH ME while I am resting in your embrace! renew me, restore me, strengthen me, let me rest in you. Lift me up and use me to help others stay strong in faith. I am yours Lord! I am so broken right now and only you can stop the lies swirling around in my head! Thank you for loving me so unconditionally! Thank you for never leving me! Thank you Father for holding me <3 In Jesus name Amen

Pastor's prayer; Father, help me strip away the complex and see the simple truth of the Gospel. I believe that you love me, and I love you. I want to walk with you hand and hand. Please send the comforter like you promised and give me a fresh fire today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray Amen!
I loves these daily words. I often send them to a cousin, who although has a computer would rather I send them to him. I just have one question regarding the prayer at the end of today's message. The part that says: "Please send the Comforter like you promised..........."
My understanding is the Comforter, or Holy Spirit, was sent on the day of Pentecost and still resides in the world today. Am I misinformed?
Thank you,
Bisa
Cheryl, that is correct :). There are denominations that disagree, but we believe it is scriptural and true!
Thank you.
Thank you Pastor Dion for this reminder. Such a simple but powerful statement. Jesus loves us like a Father loves his children. He still loves us even when we're naughty or mean or whatever. He is our Dad and accepts us unconditionally. As Author Philip Yancy said. "Nothing we can do will make Him love us more and nothing we can do will make Him love us less." and as His children we should love one another.
Amen. Thank you Pastor. God Bless.
Amen!!
