The king talked with them; and among them all was found no one like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. Therefore stood they before the king. If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? Happy Endings

  • So Yahweh blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys. He had also seven sons and three daughters. Job 42:12 WEB

Job was a very wealthy man who went through a terrible trial, but when it was over and Job prayed for his friends, all that he had lost was returned double. In chapter one of the book of Job, he owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen and five hundred donkeys. In chapter forty, he had exactly twice this amount. Though his first group of children were now with the Lord, he was blessed with seven more sons, and three more beautiful daughters, which doubled the number of his children as well.

You cannot judge a book by reading a single page in the middle of it. During one year of my life, my business burned to the ground during an insurance lapse, my Dad passed away, I went through a divorce, and I had to start my life over with just my clothes. Now the Lord has restored what I lost, with better. I thank God for getting me through the dark times.

No matter what you are going through, God still has the same good plan for you that He had the moment that you were born. When you are restored, it will be better than before. The later part of your life can be better than the beginning. God has seen every tear and He knows the pain that you have been through. Be encouraged because this storm will pass and the Son will shine once again on your life. The end can be better than the beginning.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for taking care of me. Though I do not understand many things, I choose to trust You. I know that You will take care of me and I am so thankful. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

This message speaks directly to me thank you and I thank God for speaking it through you. I know I'm not the only one going through heart ache, loss and life's struggles. It's comforting to know that God will restore and we can trust Him to do so. Father God has taught me so much since my wife went home to Him 6 years ago and He daily teaches me and guides me. I know He also prepares us before He blesses us and entrusts us with new levels in our lives. I am thankful for that in my own life, praise Father Jehovah! With God all things are possible!

This is so true...He is taking care of me. I really have been blessed through these trials in my life. Sometimes He has to knock you off your feet to remind you that He Is In Control Of Your Life. It's called getting your attention to do His will and not yours. Again, Jeremiah 29:11 His plans are better.

Amen!!  The Lord has gotten my attention several times to stop doing my will, but to do his will. The trials weren't fun but each time they saved my life. I have been deep deep in the wilderness with only my faith to rely on, each time I got through it stronger than the last. I have some memory trauma from those trials, just whenever I remember some of the things I have been through, but my faith has definitely been made stronger.

This message is very timely for me. I am in the midst of trials with my son Jesse. Last night I simply told God I didnt understand why our prayers were not answered. I did tell Him that I will still praise Him through this storm, I will still trust Him, I will still pray and have faith in Him. Then I asked for Him to help me stay the course and persevere. I know that He is working this for good, I just don't comprehend His ways of doing things.

Agree with Twila, Carol, His will is not going to be thwarted by the court system. There was a time when we were placing the house in our front yard, the house we now live in. We had plans about where we wanted that to happen, but they were thwarted by hostile people, seemingly without any sort of justice, and with a lot of drama. The entire layout of our yard was a workaround because of this. In the end though, the drama was done and home was set up so much better than we could have planned and looked like it had been meant to be that way the whole time. For Jesse, I believe it will work out for the good in the end, even though it is a stressful and frustrating time in the short term. Will continue to pray for your son!

My prayers for my son did not turn out to be what I was expecting it to be.  MAYBE GOD has better plan and it is coming but these is what I prayed inspite of the circumstances.  LORD GOD I STILL TRUST YOU, STILL BELIEVE IN YOU, STILL  HAVE A 101% FAITH IN YOU, AND STILL LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART.

Awesome, Chris :)! Haha, we used to go to the church where there was a lot of the prophetic that happened. It was joked that the more experienced believers would hide in the back rows whenever a prophet was working because those words of encouragement usually meant that something was happening where you would need it ;). That said, the other end of it is often something even better than we could have hoped for!

Hi Scott,. My husband tells the story of when his X wife left him & 3 children in diapers.  She was on drugs.  He let her back in then she leave again & finally closed the door with divorce.  Give years he raised them alone & some help from the church where we me & married.  He'd say, God let me think...I have health, a job, a roof, my children so Lord what is soo bad.  His oldest son would ask ...Dad are we going to have a Mommy?  Charlie said, maybe & if not we are ok.  Charlie is strong where I am weak & sometimes I can be for him & the children when they were little.  Children in their thirties now with lives of their own.  God is good!  Blessings  you Scott!

I just smiled when I read this because these later years have been so much better than my beginning. My birth mom put 3 of us in an adoption home and lied about having any more. Actually my birth dad had them. My older brother and my baby brother. My dad ended up getting us out of the adoption home and had all 5 of us together. It was not a good life as we went very hungry (out on the streets begging for food, no clothes to go to school) he would not buy us shoes so we went to school barefooted every day until the school or Salvation Army bought us shoes. I was physically abused and molested by my birth dad. We were removed from the home when I was 12. We were all put into different foster homes (brother and sister in one) (two brothers in another) and me in yet another. Brothers were molested in the foster homes and were abused. I was put in the garage by gas cans to sleep - no lights, just a buzzing head from the gas smells. They found our birth mom and we were given back to her. At 17, I was informed that I was no longer any use to them and asked to leave ( I had a boyfriend and we got married) - that didn't last. I had 2 beautiful boys that I raised by myself for 5 years. I met my husband who had a daughter that he had raised for 5 years. We have been married 40 years this year! He is Christian, and He is my best friend! The Love of my life! A great Granddaddy-All the grandkiddoes and Great Grandkiddoes love him dearly! I am so very blessed.

I don't respond or post hardly ever, but I love your messages!!! Thank you

Oh, how I needed to read this today; the enemy is constantly trying to discourage me with thoughts that "it's too late", or "you're too old now", or "this mess you created is too big for God to turn around". This is a great reminder that, as long as I keep my trust in Him and still have breath in my body, it's not too late!  Thank you so much for this devotional today!

This is exactly what the Lord has done for me! As a young wife and mother, plaqued by depression, resulting in numerous hospital stays and 2 suicide attempts. I am so blessed to have been stable for 12-15 years, loving life more then ever! Enjoying relationships built on mental health and not mental illness. God has done a great work in my life! Thank you Lord!
