Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from destruction, who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies, who satisfies your desire with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. Psalm 103:2 WEB
Years ago, I mainly worked in low end jobs where the only benefit, was having the job. After working the tobacco fields, to being a construction laborer, then to painting houses, I finally gained enough experience that people wanted me to work for them. That was the first job that I ever had with actual benefits. It felt strange at first, and I did not make use of them at all.
When searching for a job, something that is always involved in the decision are the benefits. Do they have insurance, retirement, paid vacations? They can be why we take the job in the first place, and we will gladly make use of the benefits once we learn that they are a part of the package.
Serving the Lord has benefits as well. Forgiveness of your mistakes, healing for your body, redemption, steadfast love and mercy, being able to be satisfied, renewed vigor, and supernatural provision. Of course, they are not the reason we serve Him, but there is also no reason to neglect what He so lovingly gives us. Often we overlook these benefits and prefer to just struggle on without them, or like me, you have walked so long without them that you don't know how to put them to use. But would you say no to free health insurance, or how about 'just forget the vacation, I would rather work on through this time without pay.'
Jesus told us to pray 'Give us this day our daily bread' (Matthew 6:11) and James wrote 'You do not have, because you do not ask' (James 4:2). When you fall down, ask for forgiveness and get up knowing that you are forgiven, it is a benefit. When you are sick, pray to be healed, it is a perk. When you have lack, pray for the Lord to provide the means. Love and mercy, are also included in the package. It is OK to pray about your needs, and yes, God does love you no matter what you 'feel.'
Prayer: Father, I thank You for providing benefits to all of us. I know that I am in good hands: Yours. Please provide for my family, heal us, forgive us, may we walk the straight and narrow path. Help us find our place and where we fit in Your plan, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
Amen.

AMEN! I thank God for all of His benefits!
Beautiful prayer, thank you:)
One of the greatest benefits, I have learned , is release from our problems. The more involved I get in my groups, praying for others, my book writting, the less time I spend thinking about unanswered prayers and needs of my own. Then as I continue running my race, God answers these prayers and supplies these needs, just to show me He is near and He had not forgotten. He is always my greatest friend and supporter in this world.
GOD is our greates friend and supporter in this world in the name of JESUS CHRIST. Amen

WoW! Husband texted me while reading this. He asked for prayer concerning our financial situation! I hadn't gotten to that part yet but when I finished, I immediately sent this to him! Thank you so much for the timely input! God bless this ministry and it's leadership!
Amen. God is so good!
I want to take advantage of ALL the BENEFITS that GOD has to offer. Doors have opened in just the last week that I never even knew about. After years of not going because of Depression and Anxiety, I finally found the courage to walk through the doors of a church I tried to go to 2 years ago. I am so amazed and thankful that I was able to do that. I was reminded of just how much it means to be with others in the community. I didn't have a ride to my Disability Hearing tomorrow because my best friend, Debbie had an injury that has her bedridden. She was my best/only real friend I have close by, but had to move close to GA state line. She was still coming to take me to my hearing before injury. It seems we both know someone who goes to the Church I just started--and PRAISE GOD, I now have a ride. I am so excited to see all God has in store for me with the Church.
Praise GOD For HE IS Good and faithful. Amen
Amen Rebecca

Help me lord to get through this day provides for my family
I really thank God for all of the blessings that I had received these past few months since my father passed away. I was at one point so afraid to do things or go places because of my anxiety. But some how things just began to fall in place for me. I found a place to live and I found work after years of searching. I am going to apply for visitation to see my children next week. I finally got the courage to go and apply after not seeing my kids for 4 years. I thank God for everything and I thank the Lord for his love and kindness.
Madalyn, I am so glad you had the courage to take that step. I can relate in a way. I was in a very bad abusive relationship for ll years and was to scared to leave due to threats he made to kill my family. I did get my son out of there and he stayed with family members off and on for about 2 yrs. When I got out of the relationship, I went back to get him and my father had got custody of him for abandonment. I took the first step and did what I had to do and he was home with me about a year later after I got my act together. Stay strong in your Faith. I will be praying for you. Rebecca
