A Living Sacrifice from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Various sacrifices were required under the old covenant. Some of the sacrifices helped feed the priests and those who worked at the temple, but a burnt offering was placed on the altar and completely consumed by fire. You can read about...

Wrongfully Accused

  • Joseph's master took him, and put him into the prison, the place where the king's prisoners were bound, and he was there in custody. But Yahweh was with Joseph, and showed kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. Gen. 39:20 WEB

Joseph was his father's favorite son and though he had done nothing wrong, he was sold into slavery by his older brothers, who were jealous. As if being a slave was not bad enough, when he refused to sleep with his master's wife, she falsely accused him of rape and had him thrown into prison.

Joseph stayed positive during all of this and soon he was put in charge of the rest of the prisoners. In time, he was released out of prison and became the second-in-command of Egypt, and whatever he did, God made it succeed. Was Joseph in God's perfect will while in prison? Strangely enough yes, and in the end, it could not have worked out any better.

No matter where you are today, or how dark it looks, or how you got there, if you submit yourself to God and keep a positive attitude, it will work out for the best. The wrongs in your life will be made right. Like Joseph, when you have the chance to finally get even, don't. Forgive them, let them go and enjoy the new wonderful life God has given you instead. God can turn the bad into the good and sometimes it can happen overnight.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for the life that You have given me. Breathe into my life and give me encouragement today. Lead me and help me make the right decisions. May Your will be done in my life, and not mine. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Kath Paro
Kath Paro Dion~ I have had a hard time identifying with your devotional's the last few day.  I finally got past that road block!  I am one of God's children and ask for his guidance daily.  I do his will as best I can, I am guilty of taking my will back and thinking I can steer the boat better.  I learn shortly that ain't such a good idea, the ship hits rough seas quickly or runs ashore without the Master steering.  My attitude is positive the majority of the time.  I was chatting with my best friend on line last night and we discovered we brighten each other's lives when we chat.  I realized she is the first best friend I have had in my entire lifetime.  The rest are just acquaintances.  My Higher Power has gifted me so much and given me a friend who is there through thick and thin as I am for her.  Don't know if this relates to the message but it's what's on my heart this morning!  Blessings and have a terrific day Dion!

Marilyn DeJongh
Marilyn DeJongh Once again, thank you for those words of wisdom, Pastor Dion.  This morning wasn't my best and I am sorry for my anger.  I can't blame anyone but myself, as I made the decision to be here many years ago.  It was a time in my life that was very upside down and instead of leaning on the One who could help me, I didn't listen to the warnings and leaned on someone who couldn't.  I am sorry I didn't listen, but know I must be here for a reason and will pray more to the only One who can help me and expect less of the one who can't/won't.   Amen and thank you Lord for always being there, even when I fail to behave in the manner that shows the love and forgiveness You give me each day.

Diane Symborski✝
Diane Symborski✝ Amen! Thank you Pastor Dion for the daily devotion. I've been wrongfully accused by my three sister's because I didn't go along with their lies. They stick up for my older sister who's husband went to jail and I think some of you know why. He was married to her for 32 years and I told her when our girls where little. They're 35 now. I still cry and pray everyday for all of them. They told lies to all our family to take the focus off of her, him and my sister's daughter. I have many family members too that don't like the three sister's. Many of them feel really bad for me but I tell them God took care of him. I tell them all that he will take care of them on his time. I just have to keep praying for them as I do every day and night. My heart is crushed and I do cry everyday about everything that happen. It gets to me and nobody even came to me they just got mad and made up a story to cover the oldest sister. If it was that old me heads would roll but i'm not there anymore I walk with Jesus. I know that praying for them is how I have to handel it. They are the toxic people I removed from my life. Amen <3
