I will seek that which was lost, and will bring back that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick; Ezekiel 34:16 WEBAs the tears flowed down my face, I knew they weren't mine. I had a rough upbringing. I could count the people that I tru...

Don't remember the former things, and don't consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don't you know it? Isaiah 43:18 WEBWhile sitting in church one morning listening to the speaker drone on, I became bored. I yawned, searched for the time, and wondered how long ...

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 ESVSo there I sat in my prayer room, feeling washed up and wondering why I was there at all that day. After going through a drawn out messy divorce, I didn't go to church at ...

Taking Care of Pharaoh

  • He said to Abram, 'Know for sure that your offspring will live as foreigners in a land that is not theirs, and will serve them. They will afflict them four hundred years. I will also judge that nation, whom they will serve. Afterward they will come out with great wealth; Genesis 15:13 WEB

God told Abram that his descendants would become slaves for four hundred years, but that He would punish the nation that did this and His descendants would come out with great possessions. This was completely fulfilled later in the exodus from Egypt. It was a deliberate discipline that ended with a planned outcome.

Once I worked at a plant where the manager was much like a slave driver. I cheerfully ran a brass polishing machine all day in the heat where I silently prayed and listened to the Bible, trying to make the best of a bad situation.

This season humbled me, stripped away unnecessary things, taught me to rely more on Him, got me back to the basics, and prepared me for His service. The plans of God have many layers. After a while the owners removed the manager and promoted me to his position.

Pharaoh was not as in control as he thought he was. God knew exactly what He was doing, and when the time was right He brought it to pass. God knew what He was doing in my life, and God knows what He is doing in your life. We just have to keep a good attitude while we wait on pharaoh to be taken care of.

Prayer: Father, help me to see my situation through Your eyes. I am not here by accident and I know that You have plans for me. I submit to Your will, in the name of Jesus I pray.

Mark Duell
Mark Duell Oh so very hard with the attitude towards something you know isn't right. I have to remind myself that it is for Him and not man. That though I may think I'm wasting my time and energy, He has something bigger and better. Haven't a clue what it is, but I just remind myself He is my boss and yes He signs my check!

Deleted Member Amen, it is awesome when we can look beyond what we are having to do at that moment, knowing that Jesus has something much better for us, so that our lives can be touched in such a way, that will make us stronger and that will make our light shine brighter than ever.

Jim Jarrell
Jim Jarrelledited: March 26, 2016 So many people think the Bible tells stories in the Old Testiment that somehow tell who God is, but that they are just stories. Time and history will one day show that every thing in the Bible really happened just the way it says. I believe the story of the Hebrew people is true. Think about it, God predicks what will happen 400 years in advance and then brings those things into reality just as He said they would happen. Nearly 2,000 years ago, a man named Jesus walked the earth among the Hebrew people. He fulfilled more prophecies than anyone before His time, then He went to the Cross and died for your sins and mine. He told us of the kingdom of God and how the great "I Am" wants to change us from the inside out and make our lives complete. There are still people out there who do not believe this is true, nor do they want to allow Him to change their lives even though it is the only way to Peace and Joy. How can that be? He will return one day and surprise so many!

Carol Pady
Carol Pady Amen! Where we are is no accident. We are placed strategically by God. If we are used by Him or are taught by Him depends on us yielding to His will. I have learned that everywhere I have went in life has molded me into who I am. Nothing has been wasted. I won't fully understand why I went certain paths but I know He was there with me. Even when I strayed so far from Him, He never left me. He was always there waiting for me to return. My life has not been easy but my life has been blessed. Every thing the enemy meant for evil brought something good. It drew me deeper into my Father's presence.

Deng Tembreza Qoute from your today's reflection Pastor" GOD knew exactly what He was doing, and when the time was right He brought it to pass." Everything happens for a reason.  Only GOD knows what we are and we will go through.  But they are all according to HIS plan for for us.  We just have to be patient and have Trust and Love GOD with all our heart and that everything will come to pass.

Kath Paro
Kath Paro Dion~ You once again talked to me about the challenges in my life today.  This reminds me yes, follow My path in your journey.  My Higher Power has been talked to continually the last 3 days.  We, God, Steve and myself have been presented with a horrendous situation that scares us and we have never felt so threatened in our lives.  God has his arms around us and is blessing us with forgiveness and choosing the next right thing.  We believe He is guiding us every step of the way!  Life will be as God planned, we  cannot change that.  Prayer, believe and faith are the solutions!  Hallelujah!!!!!
