In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea. When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It's a ghost!" and they cried out for fear. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying "Cheer up! I AM! Don't be afraid." Peter answered him and said...

Anchor of the Soul from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. When people lose hope, they lie down and die. They lose the will to live and fight any longer. Hopelessness is utter despair, the belief that nothing good will happen. When you begin to think like this, it will bring a desire to die. A ...

The Pharisees and the scribes asked him, "Why don't your disciples walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat their bread with unwashed hands?" He answered them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honors me with their lips, But their heart is far f...

  • As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Isaiah 55:10 NIV

The Lord spoke to me when I was about twenty years old and told me that I would one day be in the ministry and to prepare myself. I was very excited and entered seminary while continuing to work a day job. I graduated, and continued to work various day jobs for the next 20 years ending up in computers, programming, and technical stuff, all while waiting.

When I had given up and pretty much forgotten what the Lord had told me, I was suddenly pushed into the ministry just like cattle being herded down a chute. It required no more effort than putting one foot in front of the other, but a lot of endurance. Now I use the skills that I learned in my past for the Lord. Even though I had graduated Bible college, I was not done with my schooling.

What the Lord has told you will come to pass, and you can build your life on it. The things that you are doing today are preparing you to be used tomorrow.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that You have a plan for my life. Please reveal it to me in a way that I understand. Help me get in tune with You and give me a clear vision, in the name of Jesus I pray.

Note: For those who have not seen the March monthly newsletter, Pastor Dion posted it last week! You can find it under the "News" link on the site menu! Group news: The highlighted group of the week is the Haven of Hope, a private group that is a refuge and place of support for those who have suffered under abuse. All requests to join are manually approved by the group leader before being able to see the group posts, so thank you for your patience. ALSO the Creation Photographers theme of the week is "Signs of Spring". Did you know that our Father sends us signs daily or that more than 20 bible verses contain the word spring? Just some things to ponder as you go out and capture what spring is to you (as always, you can post other pics, too!).

Kath Paro
Kath Paro Thank you Dion~ This made me realize He gave me a time to be a nurse.  Then I don't know if H gave me hints or messages to move on but He hit me over the head with the car accident.  I didn't get it!  I went back to nursing.  It took several errors, loss of my memory and my drinking to finally get His message across.  Now I am able to help other alcoholics in their recovery.  I now have empathy for those that have memory, balance and now not able to use one arm.  I understand and know now.  God has given me the gift of first hand experience and personal knowledge of the difficulties we go though.  God wants me to help now, I can still use my nursing knowledge. Praise the Lord Almighty  for getting my attention!

Twila Stierwalt I have found this so true in my life. God has used me through the different stages of my life, from the time I was a very little girl. The gifts God gave me never changed, but how I used them did. I see that God had plans for me in each season of my life. Some day I might have to wright a book about my life. I have been drawn closer to Him the more I am in His word. Gods timing is so different than ours.

Joseph Krell
Joseph Krell The school of life is open everyday, but what did I learn today! We all get distracted especially when we are being taught something we have no desire to learn even though we couldn't find a better teacher then Jesus. It's not easy to always have an open mind to learn more or new things, it's easier to stay right where we are as we know so much already. Lord, what are you trying to teach me today and help me to grasp it in Jesus name I pray! Be blessed as you are a blessing! We don't like being in the cattle chute but at times it is what is best for us!

Karen Pasquinelli
Karen Pasquinelli AMEN!!  I am not a young chicken anymore, but never too old to learn something new if it comes from GOD.  So far,  I have seen my kids return to God, and I know it is from raising them the way I did for they both tell me that :).  I don't know what else God wants me to do, but thoughts come to my mind of what I would like to be able to do.  I am sure he will put me whereever I am supposed to be when the time is right.

Michele Smart
Michele Smart I am growing every day to understand the key word in what you are teaching is "doing".  We can't sit around hoping that our goals will be achieved.   We have to have a plan and work the plan with the gifts God blesses us with.  If we fall short or things don't work out as we plan then it wasn't part of His plan and it's time to make some changes.
