  • Now after these things, the Lord also appointed seventy others, and sent them two by two ahead of him into every city and place where he was about to come. Then he said to them, "The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send ou...

Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. Enemy At The Gates

  • These wineskins were new when we filled them, and behold, they have burst. And these garments and sandals of ours are worn out from the very long journey. So the men took some of their provisions, but did not ask counsel from the LORD. Joshua 9:13–14 ESV

Joshua and the Israelite leaders had believed a lie and now were betrayed. Some strangers had came to them pretending that they were from a faraway land, when really they were from a nearby town. Now they had made a deal with the enemy, and God let them do it without saying a word.

The Israelites took the time to go through the strangers supplies and check their bread, but they did not take the time to pray about it, and they ended up being deceived. The examples provided for us in the Bible tell us that the Lord will not always intrude on our lives, but that He will let us live our life just as we want. With, or without Him in it.

Include the Lord in the decisions of your life everyday. Invite Him to be a part of it, and He will. He would have gladly answered Joshua if they had taken the time to ask. Always inquire of God when making a big decision.
