Then Mordecai asked them to return this answer to Esther: "Don't think to yourself that you will escape in the king's house any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Who...

In the same hour, the fingers of a man's hand came out and wrote near the lamp stand on the plaster of the wall of the king's palace. The king saw the part of the hand that wrote. Then the king's face was changed in him, and his thoughts troubled him; and the joints of his thighs were loosened, and ...

One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, "If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!" But the other answered, and rebuking him said, "Don't you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this ma...

I Want To

  • When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him. Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, 'Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean.' Jesus stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, 'I want to. Be made clean.' Immediately his leprosy was cleansed. Matthew 8:1 WEB

Another leper outcast, considered unclean and who was not even to be touched by another person, came and humbly knelt before Jesus. He said 'Lord, if You want to, You can make me clean.' And then the King of all Kings reached out to him and said 'I want to.'

The Lord Jesus reached out His hand, touched him, and cleansed him of his disease. His leprosy was now gone, the shame, and the pain was healed. Jesus touched the outcast and restored his life when everyone else shunned them.

In the Old Testament, lepers were to be put outside of the camp (Numbers 5:2). There were intricately detailed laws about showing themselves to the priests (Lev. 13:49) and if a leper touched someone, even a priest, they were then unclean as well. It was originally to help control the spread of disease but became more of a social class.

In the New Testament, Jesus healed the lepers, sometimes ten at a time (Luke 17:17). This was new. Under the old law, the priest could not touch someone diseased. Under the new, Jesus touched and healed them, because He wanted to.

If you are an outcast, know that Jesus touches the outcasts and restores them because He wants to, but you have to come to Him and ask Him like the man in the story. Jesus healed those that came to Him and asked. Many others just walked on, overwhelmed by their problems. Leprosy was considered incurable but this man humbly came and knelt before Jesus, and like the centurion he believed and said 'Lord, You can heal me.'

When you are sick, humbly ask the Lord to heal you. If He does not, you are no worse off. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Sometimes He will take us through it for our education, but other times He will take it away completely because He wants to.

Prayer: Father, I come to You today and ask that You have mercy on me. Lord restore me. Please help me become the best version of myself. Replace my desires with Yours. If You want Lord, You can make me clean. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: Happy Sunday! Just a reminder for those who may need prayer, we have a wonderful group of people who will be happy to lift up your needs. Cheryl Hepler Amen Brian!  Liars...I have witnessed it & couldn't believe they'd get away with it ...although not for long for the Lord knows everything!  Love the healing story...WOW to be there & hear those bones cracking would have made my knees weak!  Thank you for sharing that.  Love stories.  He is the same yesterday, today & tomorrow... Amen!  I have had pain in my left leg 3 days now.  Laying here reading this & many other great things in pain group have helped soo much.  Keeps my focus some where else.  Along with muscle relaxers & pain meds all day.  Hope I have less tomorrow to drive for I don't take those meds.  Getting my stitches out of left hand from carpal tunnel surgery on 9/18.  Pray they pull quick or spray pain free stuff on...just a little like that adds to all the rest.  Haven't had a day in many years without pain. Just taught things from some great helpers how to keep mind somewhere else.  It works most times:)

Norman Glaze Sr Amen. Like you said Brother, you are no worse off for asking. Looking back on my walk(Sometimes Crawl), there were many times I'm certain, that I had not, because I asked not. And then I still had the nerve to sit around and mumble about my sad state, lol. I can just imagine Our Lord Jesus wag His head from side to side sometimes.

Twila Stierwalt
Twila Stierwalt I love this, that each one asked Jesus If you want to?  Jwsus wanted to, so that is why He healrd them. He wanted to touch them when no one else wanted to touch them. Jonnie Ereckson, Toda, prayed and believed that God was going to heal her, but God did not physically heal her, because He had a much better  plan for her life, a survice that no one else but she could do, God created us all different for a special purpose. We all serve God in a special way that He created us to do. God wants all of us to be without suffering, but like Paule, He did not take away the thorn in his flesh, what ever it was does not matter, He could use him best to serve Him, so he would be humble. I l0ve that God knows us that well.  Thank you God that you created me, and put me just where I can serve You best.

Cheryl Hepler
Cheryl Hepler Outcasts are the same as I don't fit in.  That had been my outcast feelings.Living in the south & moving to the north the kids would say," go home Rebel"! My teacher made fun of my accent in front of my class.  10-11 was my age.  Living in the country no friends but then one who came to visit.  Then we moved.  Now in the city I had culture shock!  Too many people.  All row homes.  Adjusting in was no picnic.  I hung with outcasts eventually.  Not best decision for then some choices were not good.  Not grown up in Christian yet God was present from little up for I would sense Him close or speaking at certain times to me. That had been His way & I am grateful!  I wanted to bury under blankets & stay there.  Trouble with my Dad did not help.  Felt like an inch high.  Today's days leperd I have felt.  Actually wrote about it recently in my journal.  Horrible feeling. Love that God gets it!  Thanks again. Pastor Todd!

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield This reminds me of a story I heard from a nun last week. Saint Francis unwillingly embraced a leper (even though he really didn't want to!) only to discover that leper was really Jesus in disguise. The nun also told us that if we do encounter Jesus, He will most likely be the most repulsive human we can imagine--much like a begger or other social outcast. Now this made me wonder: How many times have I met the Lord and didn't realize it? Or, worse yet, turned away from Him?
