Rejected Identity from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Today I want to talk about rejection, especially in your calling, your gifts, your talents, by those who are familiar with you. We can read the Bible and feel like Jesus had an automatic win button in every circumstance. Storms, disease,...

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me; declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure; Isaiah 46:9 WEBDuring a sci-fi night...
  • Joseph came in to them in the morning, and saw them, and saw that they were sad. He asked Pharaoh's officers who were with him in custody in his master's house, saying, 'Why do you look so sad today?' They said to him, 'We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.' Joseph said ...

Birds, Bees, Flowers And Trees

  • See the birds of the sky, that they dont sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Arent you of much more value than they? Which of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to the measure of his life? Why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow. They dont toil, neither do they spin, yet I tell you that even Solomon in all his glory was not dressed like one of these. (Matthew 6:26 WEB)

The ants crawling along the ground always have plenty to eat. So do the squirrels running along the tree limbs, the birds and the bees flying through the air, the fish swimming in the sea, they are all taken care of by God. Plants and trees that are rooted in place and cannot even move, are still taken care of by God.

Everything in nature does their part as they are able, and God takes care of the rest. He puts what they need within their reach, even if they are immobilized. We have a giant oak tree in our yard that has never taken a step from where it was born.

The birds of the air are taken care of one day at a time. There may be a drought or a famine and it may affect them for a while, but being that their species is not extinct, they have been taken care of pretty well for a very long time.

It is always we that start to panic when it does not happen fast enough. So many times I have been concerned about tomorrow, only to find that when it got here, everything was fine. God took care of it somehow. Look back over your life.

I am not saying there have not been times that lacked of wants, times of having less than I wanted to have, or felt that I deserved. The Lord knows that we have seen the unemployment line more than once, but we have never had to go hungry. There was always something to eat and something to wear.

David said I have been young, and now am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread (Psalms 37:25).

Dont panic, dont get anxious about what you think may come. Dont let your fear snowball into something that blocks your view of God. He knows your needs and you mean much more to Him than the birds that He also takes care of. He created us in His own image. When the need comes, the answer will as well. Just continue to do your part and trust that God will provide what you need within your reach.

Prayer: Father I thank You for providing for me. You are so good to me and I want more of You in my life. Lord, cover me in Your peace. Touch me today and let me know that You are there no matter what I face, in the name of Jesus I pray.

Note: Good morning! For any who have not seen it, we started a forum called "Testimonies" a couple of days ago. This forum is a place to share the great things that God has done in our lives and to publicly give Him the glory! We believe it will also be place for all of us to look at to gather strength and encouragement. To get there, just go the the "Testimonies" link on the website menu. Have a blessed day!

Johnalee Weller
Johnalee Weller He never leaves or forsakes us, we turn our backs on him, and we try to do everything our own way and in our time. Then we blame him for our downfalls. He is always there to pick us up and forgives us again and again, even when we realize we create our own life messes and he never turns his back on us or says this is the last time I will help you, like we do to so many people.

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield This is just what I needed to read today! I went to see my Oncologist yesterday and was quite upset when I found out I lost 11 pounds since my surgery; half my stomach was removed and my immediate thought was: God provided us with just the right size stomachs, and now my surgeon has interfered and I'll never be the same again! (Hard to believe that a former anorexic would be so upset over such a matter, but there you go!) When the Dietician yesterday told me I'd have to eat every two hours throughout the day, my first reaction was: That's impossible! I feel much more calm after reading your words. I also turned to Matthew, my favorite Gospel in the Bible. As always, God's word is the best medicine of all!

Karen Pasquinelli
Karen Pasquinelli I attended Alanon meetings many years ago and there is where I learned not to worry and take "one day at a time."  Also, the serenity prayer is a big help "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can and the wisdom to know the difference."  Take "one day at a time" and worries seem to disappear with God's help.  Also what Jesus said is so true:  KJV Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.  Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. Here is another version for easier understanding "Therefore don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient." - World English Bible

Margaret Parks
Margaret Parks My Heavelny Fatherhas always met my needs and I am truly grateful and feel blessed. I don't always have the things that I want, but I always have what I need. But the passages that tell us not to be concerened about these things in Matthew and elswhere in Scripture, never helps me from worrying about those that DO NOT have food to eat or water to drink.  I know that one day it will all be revealed why so many children go hungry, but for now it sure is difficult to live with.  Ido what I can to help and so do many others that I know, but it seems to be never enough.  So my prayer is for our most Merciful Father in heaven to please help those that suffer. Amen

K K
K K Timely message today. God always puts the right thing we need to hear at the moment we need it. Thank you Lord! I'm still sick, concerned but trying not to be though, knowing He loves me and will take care of me as He always has. Was up most of the night vomiting, side effect of one of the meds they put me on last weekend.they still don't really know what's wrong after a slew of blood work, X-rays and CT scan.  I got three of these similar messages from three sources (one a personal friend) when I finally felt up enough to look at my email on my phone. Still in bed and just praying for His comfort and grace. Thank you Pastor and all who have been praying for me. God is Great. Always  Amen!
