Poetic Justice

  • Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had plotted against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast "Pur", that is the lot, to consume them and to destroy them; but when this became known to the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked plan, which he had planned against the Jews, should return on his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows. Esther 9:24'25 WEB.

It was a perfect day, Haman thought as he left home that morning. He had been invited to a banquet that Queen Esther had prepared for the King and him. Haman's Jewish enemy Mordecai, who had once disrespected him at the city gate, would be hanged today on a gallows seventy-five feet high. Haman didn't plan to stop with Mordecai, though. He had the King pass a law to eradicate all the Jewish people in the province as well. That will teach them to show some respect, he thought.

When Haman arrived at the banquet that day, his plan began to unravel. It turned out that Mordecai had raised Queen Esther as his own daughter. The Queen was one of the people on Haman's hit list! The King became furious when he learned what Haman was planning. Overnight, the evil plan that Haman had made for God's people came on himself. He and his sons were hanged on the gallows he had built for Mordecai the Jew. Then Mordecai took Haman's leadership position, and Queen Esther inherited Haman's house and land.

Nothing that anyone devises against you will work in the long term. Nothing is hidden from God, for He sees the heart of the matter. We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).

God can cause the most elaborate and secret plans to crash down on the ones who started them. So keep your head up, and stay focused on the Lord. But don't get distracted and fall to their level. Take the high ground. When God rights the wrong, it is truly poetic justice.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I know that You are working in my life, and I give You permission to do whatever You need to. In the end, this is going to work out for my good. I choose to trust You. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Note: For those following the Creation Photography weekly challenges, here is this week's theme from group leader, Dianna Wyles: Ecclesiastes 3:1 "There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens" ~ 'Seasons Change' is our next fun-tastic theme for your photographic pleasure! Show us how the seasons are changing in your area, or how they are changing in your life. We have many seasons in life too, don't we? Our themes are open wide for creative interpretation so have some fun with it! I look forward to seeing your portrayal of our fun theme this week. Delight in the season you're in! Until next time, may it be a time to embrace healing, love, and peace for all. God bless! Here is the link: Creation Photographers

Amen. 100%!  Tailored perfectly to fit my current situation and echo my thoughts and words just hours ago. Living in the Lord's "fish bowl" and Heaven's "ant farm" nothing is hidden from GOD'S sight. Our thoughts are on a video projector and audio loud speaker in Heavenly realm.  Keep it rated G to enter His Kingdom on "the last day" (of your life in the human body of flesh bone and blood). Amen.

Thank you Holy Spirit, my comforter and counselor.

Amen.

Thanks Dion.
