The Sin Problem

The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, 'Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!' John 1:29 WEB

Do you ever feel guilt or shame over something in your past? Is there something haunting you and saying, 'God is mad at you because'' or 'You are not worthy to do this?' That is the enemy trying to immobilize you and keep you from doing God's will. That is what he does, he accuses us day and night and reminds us of our past (Rev. 12:10).

The enemy cannot stop God from fulfilling His plans for you, but through fear and shame, he can certainly stop you from stepping out to begin with. If you never begin the journey, how can you arrive at the destination? It is a simple but effective plan, and it kept eleven disciples in the boat while Peter walked on the water (Matt. 14:29).

The past is gone and we cannot change it. When you fall, get back up as soon as you can and try again. When a past mistake comes to mind, repent of it immediately and ask for forgiveness. When someone that has hurt you comes to mind, forgive them again. This will take away his ammunition.

Jesus dealt with the sin problem once and for all and no sacrifice that you make will improve on what He has already done for you. He took away the sin of the world, we only have to ask for God to forgive us and He will. Do not waste another second of your life. Your sin was already paid for along with everyone else's! We try to live right because He loves us, not to make Him love us.

Prayer: Father, I look to You today for help, for provision, for protection. All that I have came from You, even the air that I breathe. Forgive me of my sins and help me to walk steadfast. Let me carry Your presence with me today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.
