These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good. You hide your face; they are troubled. You take away their breath; they die and return to the dust. Psalms 104:27'29 WEB.There is a day appointed to each of us when we will give back to God the breath that He breathed into Adam so long ago. The very breath of life (Genesis 2:7). It was passed down to each of us from our parents, and when it is gone, we will return to the dust. If you are reading this, then you are still breathing. Which means God hasn't called for your portion yet.
I have stood by the bedside of dear loved ones as they took their last breath and watched the people I hoped would live forever, die. If you take a walk through a graveyard, it's sobering to see the dates on the tombstones. Years ago, in a cemetery near my house, one family buried five children they lost to malaria. As soon as they would bury one, they would go home to find another had passed.
For those in the body of Christ, death is nothing to fear. Our physical death will be like putting on new clothes and moving to a better place. It's the ones we leave behind that suffer. So live ready to die so you will have no regrets. Today is the day of salvation.
You may question whether God loves you, but every breath you take is another gift from God. It's another chance to make things right. When a lost soul takes another breath, it's God's mercy. Will they repent before it's too late or continue on the highway to hell? There is still time to right the wrongs and live the life that God created you for.
"Dum Spiro Spero" is my home state of South Carolina's motto. Which translates to "While I breathe, I hope." Our lives are just a brief flash lived in the shadow of eternity, here today and gone tomorrow. Our days are like dust in the wind. Let's stay close to the Lord so we will be ready.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for giving me another day here. Please help me see the world through Your eyes and live out the plans You have for me to their fullest. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!Note: For those following the Creation Photography weekly challenges, here is this week's theme from group leader, Dianna Wyles: 1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." ~ Our next fun theme will be 'Faith, Hope, Love' and, as always, is wide open for some creative interpretation! Our theme's are always open for interpretation and we encourage you to post anything else that inspires you as well. What does Faith, hope and love look like to you? My photos this week reflect some of the many ways I keep my Faith, hope, and Love alive and thriving, primarily through my connection with nature, through seeing those heart blessings everywhere I go, through prayer/ meditation, or finally spotting that elusive bird you have waited so long to capture! Mostly, though, love, to me, is family and friends helping each other through daily life with compassion and grace. Have a fantastic week y'all!! Praying you all have a blessed day and week filled with Faith, Hope, and Love ~ God bless! Here is the link:
