Yahweh said to me, "Go again, love a woman loved by another, and an adulteress, even as Yahweh loves the children of Israel, though they turn to other gods, and love cakes of raisins." So I bought her for myself for fifteen pieces of silver and a homer and a half of barley. I said to her, "You shall...

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt. They have done abominable works. There is none who does good. Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, To see if there were any who did understand, Who did seek after God. Psalms 14:1'2 WEB.As the cashier counted out ...

High Fidelity from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Jesus told His disciples a parable about stewards waiting for their Master to come home. He was gone to a wedding celebration, which could last several days in Hebrew culture. So they were to watch and prepare for His return, though they did...

Wasting Away

  • When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah. I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn't hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah Psalms 32:3-5 WEB.

David had gotten a married woman pregnant, then had her husband Uriah killed, though he was one of David's mighty men (1 Chronicles 11:41). His sin gave him no rest but kept eating away at him day and night. David became restless and wasting away. His peace was gone. The sweet fellowship that he once had with the Lord had now been broken because of his sin. David wrote Psalm 32 after his affair and marriage to Bathsheba.

Sin is a slippery slope and will eventually catch up with you. One sin leads to another, and another, like lie upon lie. It gets easier each time. You can't have peace with God when your conscience is constantly eating away at you. Repentance is the brake pedal that stops it.

If you ever find yourself wasting away, remember this fact: No matter what you have done in this life, in thirty seconds, you can be right with God, washed as white as snow, and start over with a clean slate. What is lost can be restored. That which is broken can be repaired. While you breathe, there is hope.

Pray this and mean it: "Lord Jesus, please forgive me for what I have done and come into my life and be My Lord and Savior from this day on."

He will take care of the details. So keep a shortlist with God. Be quick to repent, and don't get caught in an endless loop while your life wastes away around you. The sooner that you deal with it, the better you will feel.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your forgiveness. Please help me keep my life on course and draw my heart to You in a deeper way. I want You to be a part of my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Note: For those participating in the Creation Photography weekly themes, here is this week's challenge from group leader, Dianna Wyles: Ephesians 6:4 "Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." ~ Of course 'Father Moments' will be our next fun-filled theme and as always, is open wide for creative expression! Show us your father, you as a father, someone you see stepping into a gap for children. Show us your interpretation of Father moments and let's celebrate this inspired theme for 2 weeks because why not!?! I believe Fathers around the world deserve our appreciation for bringing up children in the ways of the Lord! Don't you? Have an amazingly blessed Father's Day and enjoy your week! I'll see you in a couple of weeks ~ God bless! Here is the link: Creation Photographers
