But Rahab the prostitute and her fathers household and all who belonged to her, Joshua saved alive. And she has lived in Israel to this day, because she hid the messengers whom Joshua sent to spy out Jericho. Joshua 6:25 ESV
The least of the least, Rahab was always looked down on by the other women of the city. She was a prostitute, covered in shame with no hope, and no future. She exchanged sex for food simply to keep her and her family alive. When she trusted in the Lord and hid the spies that Joshua sent, she was brought into the Lords family and became the great, great grandmother of King David. She is also listed in the lineage of Jesus Christ (Matt 1:15).
One of the most anointed women that I ever saw preach was a former prostitute. Almost from the time she started speaking, demons started screaming and coming out of people in the church. She said that when she first gave her life to Christ and was delivered of crack and many other things, no normal Christians would help her. Instead, she converted some of her street walking friends and started a ministry. Now God is powerfully using them to deliver people from very bad things.
No matter what you have done, no matter where you are, God has a place for you in His family. You have not wrecked your life and it can be redeemed. There is still hope. It is not too late. He will take you and use your life to reach others that are where you used to be. Start today by praying for Him to make what is important to Him, important to you.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, use me today. Forgive me of my past, cleanse me from all unrighteousness and help me live my life to the fullest. Make what is important to You, important to me, in the name of Jesus.
