If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

An extraordinary event unfolds in Matthew chapter 14, one that is unparalleled elsewhere in the Bible: a common fisherman defying the laws of nature by walking on water. This miraculous feat wasn't performed by Jesus, but rather by Peter, a ...

Pearls And Pigs

  • This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for the servant doesn't know what his lord does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I heard from my Father, I have made known to you. John 15:12-15 WEB.

Once while having dinner at a friend's house, one of the guests at the table was an in-law to an in-law. Though it was our first time meeting her, she was extraordinarily nosey and prying into everyone's personal life at the table. Then she offered them "life tips." Eventually, she turned her attention to Sylvia and me.

After she thoroughly questioned us about our relationship, our family members, and our neighbors, I began to feel like we were being interrogated. It became evident that she was trying to farm some fresh gossip for later. Those who tell you about others will tell others about you after you leave. So I ended the conversation as politely as I could. This stranger was not my friend. They had no stake in my life, and I had no reason to answer their questions.

So does the Lord with His truths. He will not cast His pearls before pigs (Matthew 7:6). He does not share His precious, life-giving truths with those who are not serious about knowing Him. When they read the Bible, they will find what they expect to find. That is why so many people just don't get the Bible, for the natural mind cannot understand spiritual things (1 Corinthians 2:14). Those are revealed to us by the Spirit. Also, the servant does not know what the Master is doing, but the friend does. Jesus said that we are His friends if we follow His commandments.

It all begins with a relationship with Jesus. As you focus on drawing close to God and talking to Him every day, your understanding will begin to grow. You can read the same verse seventy times and not understand it, then suddenly, it will click and make perfect sense. That is when He chooses to reveal it to you. Grow in your prayer life and relationship, and you will also grow in your understanding of His word. What He shares with you depends directly on how well you know Him.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for sharing Your wisdom and knowledge with me. My help comes from the Lord, and my eyes are on You. Please grow my understanding of Your word. Guide my steps and help me make the right decisions. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Note: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.' (Philippians 4:6-7) ~ If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network

He says for us not to call them fools... but we can define who are pigs?... ♡

Then within His saying He lays down a pearl before all of us pigs... discerned within the spirit by the way we measure

He gave pure gold to the one who came to arrest Him

He laid down His Life before all watching and gave them all a saying that would lead them straight to His face

So generous ♡♡♡

I am that pig adorned with His pearls

He's soooooooo beautiful ✝️

Judith Bedited: February 5, 2021

Good afternoon to all. I have been out for a while and now I am happy to be back. Not out of God's presence but out of this forum. Now with this new normal everyone else has a new zoom room session and online churches; there are so many other things that are tugging at our souls daily, but thank God for His grace. There are many challenges that many are faced with, but we must be able to be the exemplified Jesus to them. Many don't want the Jesus that we proclaim to have and so we cannot give them the pearls. Yet there are others who are seeking desperately to know this Jesus who lives within us through the Holy Spirit, but don't know where or how to start. So my prayer this day is for God to use us, as we present our bodies as living sacrifices, to reach out to all thoseJesus places within our reachable spaces and environments, so that we can affect their lives with the gospel of Jesus Christ AMEN
