If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

Peace of Mind

  • In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6'7 WEB.

In the past, many saints and martyrs have faced terrible trials and death with peace in their hearts that no one could explain. Some sang hymns on the way to their execution or even while being burned on a stake. They had access to the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Today many of us do not have this peace, but it is still available for us. God has not changed His mind. There is a peace that surpasses all understanding, and it is available through prayer. It is a supernatural peace where you do not understand, but you thoroughly know everything will be OK.

Many times in my life, I have had to face a situation where I had no answers, but after praying for a few moments, I knew what to do. He taught me to lean on Him, especially in the workplace. When God shows up at church, it is hopefully expected. When He shows up in the workplace, it begins to shake things up, and it puts a smile on my face. My trials may be minor when compared to the great saints, but they are major to me.

When things begin to overwhelm you, stop and pray a moment. Make your requests known to God. Pray until the peace comes and the stress leaves. Pour your heart out to God as you would your best friend and talk with Him throughout the day. Be yourself when praying, and do not pretend to be too Holy or speak in religious biblical terms to impress Him. He knows you far better than that. The best that you can do is to humbly acknowledge that you need His help today. Pray about your needs, and then patiently trust Him to come through.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You so much for taking care of me. Please give me the grace to face this day and make it fun, simple, and easy. Cover me with Your presence and fill me with Your peace. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

Note: Happy Sunday :)! For those who would like to join us, we will be hosting our RHM Live Online church service. This is a special time of worship, prayer, fellowship and an inspiring message. All are welcome! Here is the link to join: RHM Live

May the Lord give you peace. Dementia is a terrible disease that takes our love ones away in many ways before their time.
