In times past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led Israel out and in. Yahweh said to you, You shall be shepherd of my people Israel, and you shall be prince over Israel. So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and king David made a covenant with them in Hebron before Yahwe...

Inspiration from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Today I want to talk about inspiration, when a creative idea suddenly downloads into your brain. That is not an accident. It happens for a purpose, and it may be more important than we think. Let’s begin in Jeremiah chapter 1 verse 4: T...

Yahweh's angel found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain on the way to Shur. He said, 'Hagar, Sarai's servant, where did you come from? Where are you going?' She said, 'I am fleeing from the face of my mistress Sarai.' Genesis 16:7 WEBHagar wandered alone in the desert. She...

Something New

  • Now after the death of Moses the servant of Yahweh, Yahweh spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' servant, saying, 'Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go across this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them, even to the children of Israel. Joshua 1:1 WEB

Moses the servant of the Lord died at 120 years old and the Lord Himself buried him (Deuteronomy 34:6). No one knows exactly where Moses was buried to this day. The devil was upset about this because he wanted the body of Moses (Jude 1:9). The people would have turned his grave into a shrine, or an idol and begun worshiping there and praying to Moses. It could have been the start of a new religion, Moses worship.

All Israel mourned and wept for Moses for thirty days, then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended (Deuteronomy 34:8). When the thirty days had passed, and the mourning was completed, the Lord told them, 'Moses my servant is dead, Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan' (Joshua 1:2). Israel did not enter the promised land, until the death of Moses.

The death of Moses signaled a clear ending to an era, so that a new era could begin. The end of wandering in the desert, the beginning of taking the promised land. Though they were sad and mourned the passing of Moses, it was necessary in order to move forward. The old passed away, and then the new began.

When our computer business began to dry up, we went to our pastor and got him to pray with us. During prayer he said 'Something new. The Lord is doing something new.' About a month later, I was a full time pastor myself instead of a computer tech. That was quite a change for us. The old had to pass away, before the new began.

At times, God will end something in our life that we cling to, we may want to keep it. When we finally let it go, He will bring in a new era. It is not pleasant when it is happening and there may be mourning, a passing away. If He had not closed our business, then I would not be here writing this. For you to move forward into your real destiny, at some point, the old must pass away.

Prayer: Heavenly Father please have Your way in my life. I want what You have for me. Please give me the grace to roll with the changes and help me to see the big picture, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: For those who are participating in our Creation Photographers theme of the week: 2 Corinthians 9:10 "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness." - 'The Harvest' will be our next fun theme and, as always, is wide open for creative interpretation. You are also encouraged to post anything else you are inspired to as well. I didn't have a garden this year so we harvested some nice shots of a friend's flower garden. We did harvest blackberries and plums this year though. My photos will reflect more of the creative ways to harvest. Like the many heart blessings we harvest daily, I like to share them with my friends and remind them they are loved by a most grand and awesome Creator! Have a blessed and fabulous week, everyone! How can we not, when we remember who supplies the seeds we harvest The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few!! Let us all lend a hand in the harvesting of hope and God's love light shining. God bless! Here is the link: Creation Photographers

While loosing a loved one is extremely difficult, it is hard to understand the what, the why, and most of all the how can we go forward without our loved ones!  However we do bring them with us into the new because they are forever with us deep in our hearts!  It took a long time for me to understand this but the prayers and the what if's have been answered because Jesus continues to give me the strength to endure snd step into the new!  Thank you Jesus for your love and compassion and the strength you give me to carry on!  In your most precious name I pray, Amen!! Alleluia!! Amen!!

Heavenly Father thank you for all what you have done for me and all what you are doing and will continue to do in my life. Today Father, my only request is that you bring to death everything that is standing in front of me; everything that is clinging unto me; and everything that I am clinging unto. Remove them all Father so that I may enter into my promised land and do exploits; all for your glory and your honor, in Jesus name I pray. And Father may you continue to bless Pastor Todd as you have given him this timely message and continue to speak through him.AMEN

Amen!  So true pastor Dion. Since I decided to let go and let God. To stop trying in my own efforts and trust Him was the begining of a new relationship with a new woman in my life. Her name is Paula. I heard a voice say you will meet someone through someone at work and I questioned,Lord is this your voice? Right after that it became a reality. Once again Father God has answered my prayers
