And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood Revelation 1:5 WEB'Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so; Little ones to Him belong. They are weak, but He is strong.'
Many of us learned these words when we were kids, so simple and yet today, so forgotten. It is easy to stray from this one simple fact that the entire Christian walk is based on, then slip into a life of cold legalism. Leaders who have lost sight of Jesus begin to use religion to control the behavior of the people. The love of Jesus, is replaced with keeping a set of rules, and each denomination has their own custom set, tailored by them. They begin to preach the traditions of men, and the things they dislike, instead of Jesus.
The Truth: Jesus loves us so much that He shed His own blood to pay for our sins on the cross at Calvary. He died for us, and He has already paid for all of the sins that I have ever done, and all of the sins that our children will commit in the future if we will let Him.
We simply ask for His forgiveness and then try to not do it again. Sure you should try and live right. Jesus said that if you love Me, you will keep My commandments (John 14:15). One of His commandments was to love one another (John 13:34). If you do this one right, you will fulfill the rest of them automatically.
Today you may have many problems, but a sin problem is not one of them. Not being loved by Him is not one of them. Accept the fact that Jesus loves you. Accept His forgiveness when you make mistakes, because forgiveness is for you as well others. Accept Jesus, for we are weak, but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me, and yes I will love others.
Prayer: Heavenly Father please help me strip away the complex and to see the simple truth of the Gospel. I believe that You love me, and I love You. I want to walk with You hand in hand. Please send the Comforter like You promised and give me a fresh fire today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.Note: For those who are participating in our Creation Photographers theme of the week: James 1:2-4 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,
a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." - 'Motivational Moments' will be our fun theme next and is open for creative interpretation as always. You are also encouraged to post anything else inspiring as well. My photos this morning reflect how nature inspires and motivates me into hope and joy every time I intentionally surround myself with our Grand Creator's beautiful creations. Have a fantastic week, everyone, and don't forget to look for the joy in all life hands you. God bless! Here is the link: > You can subscribe to our daily devotional here <
