A man of God came near and spoke to the king of Israel, and said, 'Yahweh says, 'Because the Syrians have said, 'Yahweh is a god of the hills, but he is not a god of the valleys;' therefore I will deliver all this great multitude into your hand, and you shall know that I am Yahweh.' 1 Kings 20:28 WEBWhen the Syrians first attacked Israel, they thought that the God of Israel was only a god of the mountains and not of the valleys. After several battles they learned that He is God Almighty on the mountain, as well as in the valley.
It is very easy for us to feel God's presence when we are on the mountain top. Certainly God is with us, our life is great, things are looking bright, hallelujah, praise the Lord. The valley though is a completely different place in our life, and where most of our learning takes place. 'Where is God's presence? It doesn't seem to be here with me. Look at this! What am I going to do now?' Then often at the last minute, He comes through and our panic was all for nothing.
Mountains and valleys are a normal part of the Christian life, and we often cycle between these two extremes. We maybe coming out of one while our neighbor is heading towards the other, so encourage each other. Learn to trust God to take care of you. Too many times we measure God's power by how well He obeys us, instead of us obeying Him and finding the way out of our valley.
Keep your head up, keep serving God right through the valley and straight up the mountain. He is the God of the mountains and the valleys. In fact, He will still be God when the mountains and valleys are long gone. So do not get overly excited while on the mountain, and do not get too depressed in the valley. Keep it steady, you will be back on the mountain soon enough.
Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for always being there for me. Please help me praise You through the valley and on the mountain as well. You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, forgive me of ever doubting You, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.Note: "if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chron 7:14). If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page:

Amen! In my experience, it is in the valleys where the fruit grows. On a tall enough mountain there is a tree line where above it, fruit trees do not grow, God is still there no matter where you are. Your mission is to produce fruit.

I drove through Grand Canyon National Park years ago and was looking down from the mountain top. The view was majestic, but the valley below looked hot and treacherous with many obstacles and challenges. I said to myself there was no way I am going to hike all the way down to the valley in 100-degree weather. But, sometimes, that's what God wants us to go through sometimes, and I have been through many valleys in life and could never come out without God's help.
Sometimes it feels like,"Death Valley," but in reality it is just the bottom of Mount Nebo. When we finally reach to the top we are given the ability to see,"our promised land." We need to bring along plenty of living water, it's a dry and thirsty way out of these valleys. Yet we will eventually get there.
LORD, we offer all our valleys to you. We love, Praise and thank you LORD. TO GOD BE THE GLORY
Amen!
Amen! He is God Almight always, on the mountains and the valleys. Thank you for todays Message.
