Lost And Found

  • The angel of the LORD found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, the spring on the way to Shur. And he said, Hagar, servant of Sarai, where have you come from and where are you going? She said, I am fleeing from my mistress Sarai. Genesis 16:7 ESV

Hagar wandered alone in the desert. She had always done what she was told, but now it had become too much and she had ran from the painful life that she knew. She was pregnant, having to care for herself, and far away from where she should have been in life.

Hagar means a stranger; one that fears. She was an outsider in her own house. The Angel of the Lord found her lost in the desert and told her to return and submit because God had plans for her and her unborn child. She did everything wrong, but God found her and took care of her. God spoke of her future and took her mind off the pain in her past. She broke down and called the Lord, You are the God who sees me.

If you miss the Lord, He will find you. We often worry too much and ask, Is this what God wants me to do? until we get paralyzed and do nothing at all. You cannot steer a car that is not moving, but once it starts moving, then you can correct its course.

When we get stalled in life, we pray and then try and make the best decision. Sometimes it ends with, Lord, unless you tell us no, then we are going to do this. When you get off course, He will bring you back with a word (Isa 30:21).

If you feel that the Lord wants you do something but you have been held back because you may be wrong, or you have run away from it, know that He will always find you. The Lord seeks out those that are lost.

Mike OBryan
Mike OBryan My goodness what a read!!!!!!!!!! As a Veteran I certainly have been lost many times!! In brief being found id a vey beautiful experience!!! Amazing in such situations we can end up in-The Lord has ways through Our confusion to let Us know He is there and truly guides Us!!!!!! I jes did a read on a patient! This early hour putting Me together this Morn I had too stop!! I've learned I truly can do only so much for another depending on My personal condition!!!! If I'm weak not stable those I encounter can throw Me off! We should realize and heed our own feelings, condition!! I laugh now- I head towards issues events opportunities and must stop My ole thinking and realize where I am at the moment! Hense oh I'm healed over that now I can do this, realization of growth!!!!!!!!!!! Forward Brethren!! Awake half hour, put coffee on opened blinds fan on light settled in I'm rolling! I monitor Me as I move about. I check for pain in My body My speed and accuracy at what I am doing My memory!! You do things right you will get correct results! I have super days by doing the next right thing truly in tune with The Almighty, surrendered as much as possible too His Leed!!! Be Blessable My Motto!!!

Kay Rushin
Kay Rushin Yes he will find you, I often think about it like our GPS, when you make that wrong turn and she starts to re-route, I am tired of God saying re-route. I am trying to listen more and follow him more closely so he doesn't have to re-route me as much. We all have our own journey and everything is needed for our testimony. Good and Bad! It's a blessing to have God to re-route us. Be encourged.

Carol Pady Thank you for your message. Sometimes we have to move and trust God to correct our course of action if necessary. Often His conviction speaks louder than His confirmation that we are doing what He wants us to do. Happy Mother's Day to all mom's. May your day be blessed!

Kathy Banfield
Kathy Banfield Well, here's a little secret for you--"Hagar" was my password once! I really could relate to her and felt we shared so much in common. But there are parallels among many of God's people.Maybe we aren't all that much DIFFERENT as we are ALIKE! Thanks so much for sharing!

Allie Ponzo
Allie Ponzo Boy, that hit home! I feel like this a lot and in some cases for years in regards to my work and church. I don't hear anything direct form the Lord so I just make my best decision which may not be best and I stay stagnant. I want to grow and move forward! My job for instance does not support me and my bills(have some money in bank) I know I must, and have in past looks for an other job but got no offers so I stay because of the obvious but I like my job and the people I work with and for, and God has been using me there, I know this because of many different circumstances but I need to support myself. I also miss church a lot because I have to work many weekends and I hate that too. I'm in a quandary and need to hear something concrete from the Lord.

Pray about the Job and if you find a better job  where you can enjoy Church more "great."  But how good is God that you can fellowship here anytime? A blessin

Cynthia Dubell
Cynthia Dubell Amen  I know God has a plan for me. My heart is with Missions and love to help people, mostly children. But, been so sick, for so long--not sure if that dream will ever happen. I'm in the smallest state in the union...and the Dr's here are not helping. I suffer BAD each day and I pray for healing. I'm so sorry to say this> but after 40 years of illness and crying, losses and now just alone with disabled Husband....I feel so weak I just wish I would fall alseep and God would take me home. I'm 58 and I'm so lost and very afraid. Scared of what is wrong with me. Had tests and in Hosp. Came up with something they don't know how to treat. Overwhlemed. I'm so sorry. :( God PLEASE help me.
