In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. The peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are ...

Hide and Seek

  • You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13 WEB

Most all of us have played the game of 'Hide and Seek' before. As one person counts down, the others go and hide as best they can. When the countdown is complete, the seeker then searches for the others.

When I became an adult and began playing it with the children, I would hide and the kids would search and search until they found me. If I hid in too good of a spot, I would have to give them hints, or make some noise so they could find me. If they stopped looking, well it spoiled the game, so you wouldn't hop in the car and drive to town. You didn't want to make it too difficult for them, but it needed to be challenging according to their ability.

Our heavenly Father hides from us and it is up to us to seek Him out. He drops little hints here and there, and we most always find Him right when we are about to give up the search. Don't give up! Seek Him out. He will often be found in the places you least expect.

Jesus even hid His teachings in parables. He said to them, 'To you is given the mystery of the Kingdom of God, but to those who are outside, all things are done in parables, that seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand' (Mark 4:10).

Insincere people could listen to the teachings of Jesus all day and not comprehend what He said, while His disciples could. It was an encoded message, and knowing Him was the key to understanding it. We can read a passage from the Bible ten times and feel that it makes no sense, but then a quickening from the Holy Spirit comes and we suddenly understand it.

He conceals it, we seek it for it, and He reveals it. Jesus told us: 'I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened' (Luke 11:9).

Keep on seeking, for you are closer than you were before. Keep on asking, for you are about to receive, what He has in store. Keep on knocking, for He's on the way to the door.

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for giving me hope and I pray that You build my faith. Please help me see the big picture and where I fit into this puzzle. Walk with me and talk with me today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: For those following our Creation Photographers group, here is the theme of the week: Thank you so much for participating in our group fun! It's always a joy to scroll our group page and see how creative ya'll get with our themes. By the way, if anyone ever has any theme ideas please post a comment or message me. I'd be happy to hear your input and add to our theme selections! Psalm 126:2 "Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, 'The Lord has done great things for them.'"....'May There Always Be Laughter' will be our next fun theme and is wide open for interpretation, so let's have some creative fun! We also encourage you to post anything else inspiring as well. My photos this week (in the group) are of a family of geese that filled my heart with laughter and joy, bubbling over to see mom and dad trusting us enough to bring out the goslings for some sun, so close to us. What a treat!! May the love of our Creator fill you with laughter and joy all your days! Here is the link: Creation Photographers

Maybe off but the truth He is always there is more constant then ever before.  When I wondered before because I didn't receive anything I sought Him before I see it different fact that He said He would never leave me or forsake me.  If a thought would come into question of His being presence I just say"I know You are there and hear me...I believe.  Inspite of feelings opposite this is more strong then before.  I have trouble more with humans close or working with me that do not hear me (as a recent Chemo doc appt) what I say & he doesn't see or hear me correctly.  A challenge to say the least.  I could feel deeply many memories in different things said that I dealt in great pain with in past and these wanted me to react badly.  We do not war with flesh & blood but..Ephesians 6:10 ---.  I rebuke Satan in Jesus name of Nazereth & command him to go.  I choose & desire to walk with Jesus & His ways & what the air cleaned & cleared.  Peace comes in perspective.  A song sung by Mandisa has words reminding us of scares we have that point to Jesus & what He did with me to bring healing in completeness that the devil knows I was processed thru much healing, awareness in places he had his hook in me & cleansing spiritually by the Lord's Spirit washed out & brought His light to so to deliver me over & over again thru 8 years of work with many.  Left answer that I may deal emotionally with at times.  I have as recent & truly thankful to the Lord He is present!  Wanting to be totally will come one this body scars will be made.  My prayer lately is to experience my Spiritual Father's Love more & more then ever before.  To fill the places my earthly Fater had not to give because of his own scars & wounds. A new adventure I find it to be at look for His ways of bringing that to me.bI love Her 29: 13.  Blessings to you & Sylvia as He leads you both on....
