Flow Through Me from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Today I want to talk about something that is at the very core of knowing Jesus: the Holy Spirit. This is fundamental stuff, but sometimes we build our doctrines so high that we can no longer see the foundation, yet it is very important tha...

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; Isaiah 64:6 KJVAs the preacher looked over the congregation, pondering his next victim, I sank lower and lower in my chair. He always chose someone at random from the congregation to pray, so everyone tried to avoid ...

Walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers: Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew, his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. He said to them, 'Come after me, and I will make you fishers for men.' They immediately left their nets and followed him. Matthew 4:18 WEBAs J...

Barren

  • Isaac entreated Yahweh for his wife, because she was barren. Yahweh was entreated by him, and Rebekah his wife conceived. Genesis 25:21 WEB

Rebekah was barren and could not have children, but when her husband Isaac prayed for her, she became pregnant with twins. If you read the details, Isaac was forty years old when they got married, and he was sixty when the twins were actually born.

I doubt that Isaac waited twenty years to pray for his wife. My guess is that Isaac prayed for her and then waited, just as his father Abraham had to. Isaac was a miracle baby himself, and Abraham and Sarah waited a long time for his birth.

Twenty years is a long time to wait, and I am sure that Isaac and Rebekah had both about given up on this ever happening, and probably forgotten even praying the prayer. But God had not, and in due time, it came to pass.

Whatever you are struggling with, pray about it. There is nothing wrong with doctors, but do not neglect the examples provided for us in the Bible. 'The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous man is powerfully effective' (James 5:16).

The impossible is possible with God. The past is not a picture of your future. Signs 'follow' those that believe, and they do not come in advance. Pray, believe, and experience.

Prayer: Heavenly Father You know my needs before I ask, but there are a few things that I want to share with You because You told us to pray. (Tell Him what is on your heart). Thank You for hearing me today, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: "I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer" (Psalm 17:6) If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network

Amen! I have been asking God why we do not see more of His power in this earth. I think the answer is in this writting, prayer. The Bible says that the power of life and death are in the tounge. just maybe, we should use it more in prayer.

Oh Holy Father, You know what I've prayed for and I believe in You on the timing. Hear my daily prayer, I love You and I wait for You. In Jesus name I pray, Amen. Praise be to God.

Amen! Praying and asking, and then waiting on the Lord to answer if it be His will! Now that isn't easy, especially looking at Hannah who gave birth to Samuel; Elizabeth, who gave birth to John the Baptist; and Rebekah, who gave birth to Jacob and Esau!!! But GOD meant it for good, He is greatly to be praised! Mighty Holy Spirit, please give me endurance and patience to wait upon the Lord, for He has intervened and helped so many times, but always in His time!
