John answered them, 'I baptize in water, but among you stands one whom you don't know. He is the one who comes after me, who is preferred before me, whose sandal strap I'm not worthy to loosen.' These things were done in Bethany beyond the Jordan, where John was baptizing. The next day, he saw Jesus...

As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desir...

He entered into one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a little from the land. He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, 'Put out into the deep, and let down your nets for a catch.' Simon answered him, 'Master, we wor...

Crazy

  • Make an ark of gopher wood. You shall make rooms in the ark, and shall seal it inside and outside with pitch. This is how you shall make it. The length of the ark will be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits. Genesis 6:14 WEB

Noah had a driving passion that no one else understood. He could see beyond the curve. To those walking by, he must have appeared crazy. It had never rained on the earth before, a mist came up from the ground and watered the plants (Genesis 2:6). Yet here was a man building a huge ship in his yard.

Noah was different from everyone else. He had a calling on his life. God had told him to build an ark, and he was going to do it, though in the natural it made absolutely no sense at all. Day after day Noah worked on this ark and the years went by with nothing to mention but sore muscles and splinters. Then the final day arrived and the first rain drop fell. That is when everything changed, and the people no longer thought that Noah was crazy.

What God had promised was not forgotten, or wrong, or mistaken, but patiently waiting for the proper time to arrive. In Noah's life, everyone else turned out to be wrong, and what Noah believed, turned out to be right. In the end, only eight souls were saved on the earth: Noah, his wife, his sons, and their wives. Noah did his part, the part that God had told him to do, and then God took care of the rest. Noah didn't have to make it rain, he just needed to build the ark, and it took hard work and patience to see it through.

When you don't fit in and they don't understand you, know that you are not the first. When they don't allow you into their circle because you are different, it is ok. Sometimes what the Lord calls you to do will appear crazy to those around you and they will not understand it. Noah's peers did not help him with his project. Do not let this rejection stop you from doing what God has called you to do. Do your part each day and let God take care of the rest. Stay the course, and keep on building.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, please guide me into all that You have for me. Reveal the gifts that You have placed in my life and teach me to use them better. Adjust my focus and straighten my walk. Reveal my mission here in a clearer way, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Reveal my mission here in a clearer way, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray, Amen. Every day I deal with not fitting in with my family, my siblings. Sometimes I feel lost and alone, I cry to the Lord for him to show me what I need to do to be included. I have given it to God, it's too big for me and I'm tired of crying and trying. I can only pray!

. The idea of a global Flood seems almost too big to be true: water covering the entire earth, all those animals fitting on a single boat, one family saved out of a numberless multitude of people. Could something like that ever really happen? Where’s the evidence? So does that mean we are all descendants of noah and his wife?   Aborigines have been traced back over 5000 yrs as the ark only 4000 yrs. My girlfriend and I been discussing this debate for a while.  I am a true soldier of God our father and jesus his son, love them very much but my girlfriend and i have had this discussion about Noah on several occasions pastor Todd can you give me some knowledge to share with her?
