Rejected Identity from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. Today I want to talk about rejection, especially in your calling, your gifts, your talents, by those who are familiar with you. We can read the Bible and feel like Jesus had an automatic win button in every circumstance. Storms, disease,...

Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me; declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure; Isaiah 46:9 WEBDuring a sci-fi night...
  • Joseph came in to them in the morning, and saw them, and saw that they were sad. He asked Pharaoh's officers who were with him in custody in his master's house, saying, 'Why do you look so sad today?' They said to him, 'We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one who can interpret it.' Joseph said ...

Dirty Laundry

  • Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! Luke 12:2728 ESV

God made Adam and Eve clothing in Genesis 3:21 right after they had broken the only commandment that He had given them. Parents are a lot like this. Children can misbehave, fail to listen, cry, whine and complain, and want things that are bad for them. Yet the parents will still clothe them in the very best garments that they can afford because in the end, they love them.

The Lord Jesus was crucified so that He could clothe us in righteousness. He put on our dirty sin-covered clothing and then clothed us in His gleaming white robe of righteousness. Jesus died on the cross while spiritually wearing the sin of the universe and when we make Him Lord of our life, we put on His gleaming white robe of righteousness.

Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool (Isaiah 1:18 ESV).

No matter what you have done today, God loves you and wants to take care of you. He has provided you with new clothing and taken your past away with all of its dirty laundry. Your past only exists in your memory.

Edwin McGee
Edwin McGee Perfect timing for this devotion on Good Friday, the day celebrated as the day Christ was crucified for our Sin. Also important to remember that Christ's Victory starts with His death, not His Resurection. He descends into Hell for those 3 days not as a beaten tormented soul, but as Christus Victor! He uses that time to preach to those in hell and put Satan on notice that his time was coming to an end.

Anibal Perez
Anibal Perez Amen! Good morning God bless you all. Key here is not to re dirty laundry that Jesus just cleaned. Ask Him and He shall forgive ONLY if it is from a sincere heart. His coming is closer then ever and His coming to get the bride is very near. Her gown has to pure and with no blemish. WE represent that gown. So let's ask for forgiveness with sincerity and He will forgive us, let's just not do it again. I love all of you who are, trying to walk the faith, that are walking the faith and those who are investigating the faith. The Lord leads me to write this which by all means I'm not a writer, I do not even write to my mom but I,do let myself be led by the Lord. The battle is hard but it can be delt with - with the Holy Spirit who is here to lead us in righteousness. God bless us all and have a bless day.

Nancy Cavataio
Nancy Cavataio "Your past only exists on your memory." Thank you Pastor. This morning before I crawled out of bed I again apologized to God for how I lived 30 years ago. I need to believe Jesus erased it out of existence, but it is so hard. Just writing this is bringing me to tears. Those of us who have had very little, if any, unconditional love in our lives have difficulty grasping this. But praise God He has blessed me and my family more than we deserve. Have a wonderful Easter!

Dion Todd Nancy, I have struggled with it most of my life. But each time that I really connect with the Holy Spirit all that I find is love, acceptance and understanding. We are in a battle, try to stay on your feet. If we get knocked down, scramble to get back up.  :)

Jesus is extremely Good!  I want give my whole heart to say thankfulness to remove our sin by His pure holy blood. Which I don't deserve this. I will always remember of Jesus who died for us on Good Friday.  I love you And Thank you Jesus!

BECKY SULLIVAN Thank you for this today. I thanked the Lord this morning as I got out of bed.  And I totally miss what it is that I should be thanking him for instead my mind goes to the pain I am feeling right now.  I miss out on the blessings that are all around me.  Thank you for the reminder.  I am not sure why I have blessings in my life, I miss them each day.

Carol Pady
Carol Pady When I think of the suffering Jesus endured on the cross, I am in awe of the love He carried for all sinners. I find it so hard to believe that God loved the sinner so much that He gave His only Son to die in such a painful and lonely fashion. I  am overwhelmed by this great love by Our Almighty God. A God that cares so much for His creations,  that He desires to spend eternity with us!

Allie Ponzo
Allie Ponzo Still amazes me that God sees us(me) as righteous, but if we don't accept that, then we are saying that Jesus's work on the cross meant nothing and It Means Everthing!!  Everyone have a truly blessed Good Friday and Beautiful Easter Sunday.

Cheryl Hepler
Cheryl Hepler This was good food to eat.  Love eating one bite at a time and savouring.  I thought how my parents did their best for me.  Past was a lot to work thru yet I know they did the best they had to give.  Learning and taking in where they had traveled from in life helped a lot.  The Lord's blood washed my view clean.
