If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances, "Don't handle, nor taste, nor touch" (all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men? These things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imp...

An Open Door

  • Let's therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 WEB

Access to God was very limited before Jesus came. There was a thick curtain in the temple that separated the people from the Holy of Holies where God's presence dwelt. When Jesus hung on the cross and said, 'It is finished', this curtain was torn from the top to the bottom, opening the way for us to come into His presence (Matthew 27:51). His door is now open.

Our heavenly Father has made a way for us to boldly come to Him and tell Him anything on our heart, at any time. Knowing that He only has our best interests in mind. He will not be surprised or shocked at what you tell Him. He will not get angry. In fact there is nothing that you can tell Him that He does not already know, but it will set you free and take a burden off of your own shoulders.

Come boldly to the Lord in prayer and talk to Him as you would your best friend. Pray about everything; you often have not because you ask not. Develop that close relationship. Pay the price, it is worth it. Dig deeper, there are good things hidden there. Involve God in your everyday life and include Him in your decisions with 'Not my will, but Yours, be done.'

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for opening Your door and welcoming us. I come to meet You today. Please work Your will in my life. Lead me, and I will follow You. Let me see the world through Your eyes. In the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." (Eph 6:18) If you have a prayer need, we are here for you! We and the prayer team are ready to lift you up at our private prayer page: RHM Prayer Network

Amen! This is exactly what set me free. Once I realized that God knew everything already, it was much easier for me to confess. It is true you know!

Amen the closer to Him that I come, the more I realize how much that I need Him. There is not one second that I can breathe without Him. I am so needy, I am so helpless without Him. My life is in His hands and so I come often to Him crying out for mercy in my time of need. I tell Him everything and He reveals wonderful things to me. He is my best friend forever, my King of Kings, my Lord of Lords, my ALL my EVERYTHING!
