For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn't return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish tha...

I See You from Refreshing Hope Ministries on Vimeo. When I was young in the Lord, I felt insignificant in His eyes. I had been beaten down by life pretty good and often the clothes I wore had as well. When I started going to church, I was often surrounded by people wearing suits and driving cars ...
  • David said to Saul, Your servant was keeping his father's sheep; and when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock, I went out after him, and struck him, and delivered it out of his mouth; and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and struck him, and killed him. ...

The East And The West

  • He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor repaid us for our iniquities. For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving kindness toward those who fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalms 103:10 WEB

During our last road trip out west, we drove from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina to Long Beach, California. We traveled just over 2,800 miles on Interstate 40 and drove completely across the United States, from the east coast to the west coast. It was a fun trip and we got to see the heart of the country. I also fell in love with Texas with its warm, friendly people, high speed limits, and the best steak that I have ever eaten.

When we finally arrived in California, we could only see South Carolina in our memories. I was a long way from home and I thought of this verse, 'As far as the east is from the west.' Though we had only driven across the United States, I could see that the east is certainly a long, long, ways from the west.

When you repent, your sins are not just forgiven, they are removed from you, not just across the room, but as far as the east is from the west. Your stains are gone, your old chains are gone, and you have been set free. The only way that you can see those past mistakes is by looking back into your old memories. Live your future in the freedom of Jesus without dragging up the past for you are not the same person today.

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for Your forgiveness. You are so good to me and I appreciate it. Please send Your Comforter today Lord, fill me with a fresh fire, speak to me and through me in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Amen! The hardest thing to forgive in our lives, is our own failures and past sins. Yet if they are not forgiven we cannot move forward, we get stuck in a rut. We effectively are saying that it is not finished, that Jesus did not pay it all. Satan is a liar and he loves to plant this lie of shame in our hearts, we need to always remeber when he whispers our past sins to us that Jesus did pay it all, it is finished. These past sins can be from years, months, weeks, days, minutes or seconds away. Yet in Jesus they are paid for completely, we need only to come to Jesus and repent.
