Don't remember the former things, and don't consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don't you know it? Isaiah 43:18 WEBWhile sitting in church one morning listening to the speaker drone on, I became bored. I yawned, searched for the time, and wondered how long ...

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 ESVSo there I sat in my prayer room, feeling washed up and wondering why I was there at all that day. After going through a drawn out messy divorce, I didn't go to church at ...

Now Yahweh's word came to me, saying, 'Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.' A Fresh Start

  • Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, 'Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?' She said, 'No one, Lord.' Jesus said, 'Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more.' John 8:10 WEB

One day while Jesus was teaching in the temple, the religious leaders brought in a woman who had been caught in the very act of adultery, and they stood her in front of the crowd. The man that she had been with was oddly missing. They asked Jesus what they should do to her, and reminded Him that the law said that they should stone her.

The religious leaders knew that Jesus was gentle, loving, and merciful, and they wanted to trap Him in His words so that they could accuse Him for breaking the law. Jesus bent down and began to write on the ground, and then He said: 'Let him who is without sin, cast the first stone.' Then they all left, from the oldest to the youngest, until Jesus and the woman were alone.

Basically, everyone there was guilty of sin, and it would just be one sinner stoning another sinner. John said that if we claim that we have no sin, that we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8). Jesus did not condemn her for her past, but instead He told her to go and sin no more.

People will look down on you. The Lord Jesus does not. If you have a checkered past, just let it be in the past. Start today fresh, forgiven, and from this day forth, walk with Jesus. Don't point fingers at others and remember that those that look down their nose at you, are no better than you. Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future. Without His grace, we are all lost.

Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for Your grace and mercy. I pray that You fulfill Your will in my life and lead me into all that You have for me. Open the doors that I should go through and close the doors that I should stay out of, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.

Note: Good morning! The highlighted group of the week is Count Your Blessings: God blesses us each day with the air we breathe, with new opportunities to shine His light to those around us, with time to know Him better, and so much more! This group is a place to take a bit of time each day to thank God for the blessings He has granted us! ALSO, the Creation Photographers fun theme, "Upside Down Kingdom " was inspired Matt 20:26, 1Cor 1:27 and Isaiah 55:8 and how our perspective of the way things should go is so different from God''s vision. As always, you are free to post anything else that inspires you, too!

Thank you for this devotional today and I guess that is a reason why we should forgive others. None among us is free from sin and none among us is superior.
