being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. Philippians 1:6 WEBIt was late Saturday night and we were both exhausted. A simple job that should have taken us a couple of hours, had now taken a couple of days, but we had chosen to honor the price that we had originally quoted them. That is one of the perks of being self-employed. As the night wore on, it was just us, God, and a lot of hard work for they soon left us the keys to the office, and went home.
Sometimes doing the right thing hurts. That job cost us twice as much as we planned and took five times as long to complete, but we did it because it was the right thing to do. We are to do unto others, as we would have them do unto us.
You can measure someone's character, by what it takes for them to bail out of a commitment. Make your decisions intentionally, say what you mean, and mean what you say. Our God is not flippant in His decisions, and He does not waver. Jesus endured the cross for the joy that was set before Him (Hebrews 12:2). Sometimes we have to do the same.
God who began a good work in you, will see it completely through to the end. Even when the cost is double, when it takes twice as long as planned, when things didn't turn out as expected, when it is just you, God, and a lot of hard work: He will still complete the job.
Prayer: Heavenly Father I thank You for all that You do for me. Please give me grace to complete the things that I have promised. Help me grow in character and always honor my word. Help me reflect Your presence on this earth, in the name of Jesus Christ I pray.Note: Thank you all so much for your wonderful birthday greetings yesterday! Y''all bless us more than you can ever know!

I just want to share with everyone. My life has changed so much in just the last week. A lot of it has to do with a new friend, Mary, who God has brought into my life, as well as my oldest desr friend, Debbie, who moved away a little over a year ago. Debbie has always helped me keep my eyes on JESUS During my good and roughest times in my life, even from afar. I have been praying for another Christian friend who lives close to me. Mary is the one God has brought to me. She was like me, and while she is blessed with many friendships, she needed me because she just needed that "special one". I have been so blessed in so many different ways just in the last week. She invited me to her church Wednesday. I went and knew this is where I belong. I also went Sunday and it was a confirmation for me. I have found the place I have been searching for in my walk with GOD. While I will miss the people at my other church, I needed to make a change. I still hope to do Ladies Bible study and volunteer when able and maybe Mary will join me because I really enjoy them and it will keep me in touch with the ladies I have come to love. I hope it is okay in God's eyes to go two places. I want to grow more spirituality and absorb all I can, just like RHM. Pastor Dion and all my groups here have been such a big part of my life for several years now. You all have got me through many times of despair as well as joy, pad for that I thank you all. You will always be my first devotion of each day. I am in such a good place in my life now, better than a long time since my accident in December 2011. I would like to make even more friends here, so I invite anyone who feels the same and look forward to new friend requests because I think we can all learn more and share more about JESUS. May you all have a very blessed day. Rebecca Adkins
That is wonderful news, Rebecca, praise God :)! As for friends, feel free to also invite anyone you'd like to get to know better <3! (((HUGS)))
Your qoute, " I hope it is okay in God's eyes to go two places". You can go to all places, any where, any time, any day to worship and praise our LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. You will be blessed with more friends like Mary. GOD LOVES YOU SO MUCH
Thank for your encouraging words, Deng. I feel guilty sometimes for leaving my other church. I just wasn't getting the messages I need at this time in my life. No one has even reached out to me from there, so I think it is a confirmation that God put me there. I am loving it, and everyone really makes me feel like I belong. Mary and I have really been getting closer each day.
That is a great blessing! What a gift. I have a friend long time but yrs go by and she is 85. I use to drive for various health reasons I don't. One day. Fibromyalgia, arthritis and soon a knee anyway, a lady came by about a week ago. She visited a neighbor of ours & then came to see our Bassettes. We talked a bit till then she was in the door. Yet she lives close to an hour away. I just thanked God. Will see what time will show if she is the one. Not a Christian though. Artist of different types of painting. One good cherished friend I ask Lord. Thank you Lord for what You will do!
Cheryl, It really is a wonderful blessng. We all need that one special friend who is closer and can be there for each other;even if we can just vent our frustrations, as well as sharing testimonies.I am not the type of person to talk on the phone much, except with Debbie, but Mary and I talked for over three hours the other night. It was after 1a.m. I will pray for God to put that SPECIAL ONE FRIEND in your life.
Hallelujah!! Glory be to God!!
Amen pastor and Happy Birthday a day late!
I like...say what you mean and mean what you say but don't say it meanly
Ha, I like how you put that, Cheryl :)!
Cheryl, I was taught that saying by a nurse that I use to see in my twenties. I was seen her too in the past seven years. She's used that saying with me in my twenties and still today. I've been saying that saying in my head since my early twenties. Oh boy so when I say what I mean and mean what I say. Sometimes it's not to pretty toward bad things that happen in my life. I also use it for good advise for many I love in my life too. I too like they way you said it Cherly. <3 "Say what you mean and mean what you say." Bobbie Fox!! <3
