At two in the morning, I stood in the parking lot of a bar and preached one the best sermons on salvation that I had heard. It wasn't mine. It was given to me at that moment. Conviction fell on the ones that heard it, and one started shaking. I led him to the Lord soon after.
I was playing music with a local band and they had booked a bar for the weekend. I needed the money to help pay my way through Bible college, so I played in bars until four in the morning, got home, showered and then went to play in the praise team at church on Sunday.
That Saturday night though, I felt the Holy Spirit descend on me while in the middle of a song. Suddenly scriptures started coming to my mind and a man caught my attention. I knew the scripture was for him, but he was drinking. I told the Lord 'When break time comes, I am going to my car. If you want me to share this with him, send him over.'
Break time came and everyone headed to the bar for a drink, I headed to my car and opened my Bible to the scripture the Lord had given me. Soon there was a tap on the window. It was the man and he had some questions about God. I started reading him the scripture and it became a sermon.
The excitement that Phillip lived still happens to those who listen and are willing. When you get serious about serving the Lord Jesus, your life will become like a box of chocolates. You never know what you are going to get, but you can bet that it is going to be good.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me divine encounters today. Help me live my life to the fullest and become the person that you want me to be, in the name of Jesus.

Amen! I believe that God puts us where He wants us to be, He works out all the details for us to serve Him, His timing is always right. I do believe He works with us in seasons of our life. My father had elshimers, but one thing He did not forget was Gods Word, He had it hid in his heart, and spoke it untill he died at 92 years old, He did not know who I was, but had memorized scripture, a lot of scripture through his life. He was my spiritual mentor.

Wow! Thank you for sharing about your father!! I've always known the Word is hid in our hearts forever, but, I am amazed how your father remembered scripture when that horrible disease robbed him of so many other memories! Beautiful testimony.
LOVE that last paragraph! SO true! I often refer to it as an adventure walking with God! There have been times where everything felt so routine, and I would literally cry out, "God, give me adventure! Remember how I used to experience such great adventures with You?" And He would be ever so faithful to take His little girl (me...smile) on a newfound adventure with him. Sometimes it was to serve others, and to minister to them; but at other times, it was where others served and ministered to me. Mind blowing, mind boggling adventures in and with Christ! I'm a God Chaser for life!!!
